I had to kill the mantis 200 times to get just 2 weapons to max and did similar grinding on IBM. I don't feel guilty about cheesing a fight I've mastered and had to do so many times.

Exactly the grinding is on another level this last update so I don’t mind taking the fast route I barely have one weapon maxed out

dont farm bosses for science/fusioncrystals mate..just do a mix.r and let the last wave destroy it..rinse and repeat..i can max a weapon in about 1 hour on ng+4

you can build coming from outside the den, just put a wall at the entrance and go down to the bottom, then you can stay in that position where you showed in the video, but there is a trick, you need to be behind the building if you are in front it will give invalid land rights, that's how I managed to beat it because I play in the cloud and it's impossible to give 100% perfect defenses...

And from my experience, as long as you build before patches, structures will remain

You can actually Use Ladders and Awnings to make your own platforms above the arena!

Silly me, I used antlions heads to get there. I also used a set with the spicy wand, instead of the arrows, but yes.

I saw a comment on a previous video regarding the game being “dead”. That may be true for Xbox players or those who have had the option to play it for years but it certainly isn’t my opinion (PS5) player. I also wouldn’t believe it’s that way for Nintendo switch players or any other player who hasn’t had the option to play this game till recently.

Managed to do this with 2 acorn shelves earlier this morning, which got destroyed during the fight. Can no longer place shelves on walls, looks like its been patched out with todays patch?

All my gear was lvl 9 but. Fresh toenail scimitar, full fire ant gear bulky, ladybird shield. Mutations: corporate kickback, blademaster, shocking dismissal, mant summon and buff lungs. Stand under the mushroom he is sitting on to keep her out of the water (water gives her buffs). Make sure you block her screams and you are pretty much good to go. I did it solo on mild like this, never dropped below half health. Corp kickback is a must. I also forgot a trinket so i had dandelion tuft 😂, but the suspicious mint or the shield trinket would help

Antlion armor set allows bows to have “quickdraw” which increases the fire rate

Old veteran trick is to shoot, block, shoot, block, shoot etc etc... you can always cancel attacks with blocks and blocks always resets attacks. This method can be used for every weapon in game, so things like chopping grass n weeds, blocking just simply resets the cool down period for weapons

I have defeated the IBM a couple of times now and I just decided to try this for the heck of it, but I noticed something with my game. I'm able to cheese her for the first phase, but she then begins to move and jump during the second phase. And she screams more than once, and if I miss that block then I get knocked off of the platform. But in the video, she doesn't move, not even in the third phase. Why is that?

I think it is because the mushroom sitting between the ibm and him is covering some of the ibm's vision and somehow bugs the ai.

@anfo2469 I was thinking that too but.. I feel like it would stay completely still for me as well since I'm in the same exact place that he is at. And I've tried doing it with little tiny tweaks of movement but nothing seems to help it

I tried as much as I could to place the mushroom corner but it seems impossible so I need to stand in the place where she still tries to attack... Result : 1h30 wasted because I can't manage to kill her even with this method 😭 also I deal only a few damage compared to you..

I had that issue too. You can put another shelf on the mushroom you stand on. Hopefully that helps

Did it get patched already? Every time I try to put the mushroom staircase, it vanishes

My game is completely bugged legit or cheese ibm has unlimited third stage health I tried 2 different builds and then a range cheese build all results in unlimited up ibm 😢

When you get up there and are looking at her, try to stay as left as possible. It took me a few tries but eventually she stopped lunging

Am I the only one that can’t place the mushroom stair anywhere

You need to get higher on the mushroom so she cant aggro you from up there but you need to get up there fast

Sometimes rotating the mushrooms helps, its still very tricky

You can also use any other arrow but mint arrows do the job alot faster
