If you want to absolutely melt a boss, roll trinkets until you have one that has +boss damage and +whatever boss you want to fight. They stack and do massive damage. Also a tip for the broodmother, when she starts her scream animation throw a high stun weapon at her. Sometimes you'll stun her and cancel the scream.

@@rebelbrick Yes, I went there last night. Good farming spot. One more tip, tender foot defense is broken. Makes the ants and termites on my farming runs deal like 0 damage.

Personally, I would suggest black widow armor with coaltana. Blade master, meat shield, spicy safety, cardio fan, and coup de gras (mainly for the additional chance to stagger her). You do have to perfect block all attacks in order to win with this build, but it doesn't take any smoothies or many bandages. When she summons the ads, save them for heals later in the fight. Try not to parry them, as the poison from widow armor will kill them. Take out infused summons of course. One final tip, bring a pet ant with you to the fight. The broodmother seems to have a chance to target the ant when in the bossfight, which happens to be directly below the spawn eggs. It can give you some time to recover. I have beaten her 25 times in NG+1. I died every single spicy or sour infusion, and died most of the fresh infusions since you can't get your attacks on the ads in time. It might be a harder build to use, but I only used 20 fiber bandages and 2 grumbles during all of the 25 fights. Every third or fourth fight, you will need to repair your armor, so bring some glue.

What weapon would you recommend for the infused mantis on NG+ 1? I tried to kill it but the salt morning star does not do much on level 9.

What's your take on NG+ on Whoa? I exclusively play on that difficulty, but hearing a lot of fuss about mob scaling even on the lower difficulties.

you can block her attacks with imparry debuff, you just have to be super super precise with the timing

I know that when you are in multi-player when you are in the inventory menu, the game doesn't pause like it does in single player. Could be how the devs coded the peer to peer connection. It is something interesting to note.

Does the extra broodmother dmg trinket works for the infected broodmother?

also in ng+ and up, you should go back to the old trinket locations like the power droplet and thors pendant, the have the same stats plus an extra one, i got thors pendant with poison resist and it really helped

My way to kill it in NG+1 Whoa: 1) Full set of fire ant + defence badge (-35% damage to you) 2) Toenail scimitar (it have -10% boss damage (infection) and -30 % boss damage from blademaster mutation) with shield (i am not good blocker) 3) Spicy staff 4) Healings + rage + human food potions 5) Mutations: Mantsterious Stranger, Mom Genes, Blademaster , Natural Explorer, Whittle Wizard 6) Tactics: we use 2 sets of weapons (staff and sword+shield) so use Q to change it whe you need, attack Boss with fast sword, and spawn a lot of summons, when boss call spyders, run and use staff to kill it, if boss is far from you, use staff (it will summon more ants).

Well for the broodmother in ng 1 I run full red ant armor with spici katana and scicy staff and it was easy. Just a bit longer

The way I did it was full widow set sour battle axe and a bunch of smoothies all level nine btw and also I did 3 player

i just wish this game would have gotten some element to combat other than perfect parries. or builds that benefit from not parrying like rolls/dodges.

I tend to use the Compliance Badge for the parry heal. It helps when it's doing it's fast attacks, and either way, you need to parry it or you're dead. So I currently use koi fish armor for the larger parry window + compliance badge. It also allows you to heal very fast off of the spiderlings it spawns. Side note: One of the debuffs the Broodmother can give is imperfect block, (makes you unable to perfect block) but for some reason I have a small window where I still can. It could have to do with the extended window, but I am still able to perfect block if I do it just right.

No the rest of the fight you're just stuck with an armor that don't boost your damage as well as making you extremely fragile

Funny thing with Thor pendant on new game + if u look for it again it has a extra stat. I got mine with damage reduction. U can get random rolls

You actually can’t get lvl 10 weapons until killing the Hedge Broodmother, as you need Broodmother Infused Ooze to craft the Yoking Station.

Level 9 tools, weapons, and armor have been attainable since the early days of grounded. Level 10+ requires the yoking station.

you can save scum when you reroll your cones and waffles if you really want to, how i rolled a mad scientist with crit best on it getting 3/3 on a cone like straight impossible

I got a major glitch fighting on a friends world, when I get the broodmother to the last faze she does her stun scream but it doesn’t stop me from moving only not attacking ( can still run away from spider lings), and her actual attacks are now out of sync with her animations, as in their are invisible attacks coming like 1.9 seconds before the animation even starts. Anybody else have this problem I am on ps5 so is my buddy 😅

YES, I have this issue on pc multiplayer. It’s the game for sure, I’ve told the devs and hopefully it will be fixed soon

unfortunately you cannot upgrade past level 9 if havent got the yoking station, which requires the broodmother ooze to make. so you need to beat the broodmother to get past lvl 9

We need a new weapon tier list for like mint, spicy, salty, sour, and mighty sense we have lots of new weapons

I used the broodmother helm, the termite chest, and the widow greaves with a spicy damage up science crinkle using a spicy level 9 widow dagger My mutations were more health, parry master, mithridatism, coup de grass, and assassin

She "bugged" out for me, she kept attacking and going after my fire ant baby pet :o The second time she did not and i was in a world of hurt :)

First time i killed her she dropped a waflle trinked with +broodmother dmg. Lets day the next few kills were a breeze

We need a video on upgrading weapons past level 10 to 15..its gonna be a super long grind..it tskes roughly 100 of the new crystals to go from 10 to 15..but!! When you get to level 15 you get over 200% damage buff..this is gonna be crucial for higher difficulty and i dont see anyone making videos on this subject yet..honestly i dont see anyone talking about it at all

The farther into ng+ you go the more ooze you get per bug. It is worth getting your weapons up one or two levels in ng+1 and then going into ng+2 where you will get three times the ooze for the same effort. Also duping focus crystals.
