Excellent videos, thanks! I have 2001 sporty and impact 560 cams, buell bx heads and am still using original pushrods. These are little on the long side, but didn't bother to change them to buell pushrods. My friend got one set of extra bx pushrods, but they are little rusty. I rather use top notch and longer than bit crappy ones...

How do you put the pushrod tubes in after torquing down the head? It seems like they would not fit once it’s torqued I just ordered my 1250 kit and I’m curious about that.

with the rubber o rings in the heads for the top of the push rod tubes, you can push up on the tubes enough to swing the tubes and bases to there proper location.

Does s&s roller rockers change pushrod length? Great video by the way.

Yes but we've found it to be a pretty minor amount, rarely does it move things enough to require a change in pushrod length. It should still be checked, though, this is not something you ever want to leave to chance, else you may find yourself taking it back apart again.

So if I have around .135"-.140" of a gap, would I still be okay to run that?

Not all Lifters are the same , Revtech 120 ci lifters have no play that 200th does not work . they do not set or bleed down no 100th deepth . S&S and Fueling have the 100th play , and screaming eagle .

the video is about hydraulic lifters. Those revtechs are probably solid tappets.

Not according to Revtech , hydraulic lifters the paper said finger tighten push rod till no play, then 3 full turns on the pushrod let bleed down , I waited a hour , never got bleed down . Backed it off , went to finger tight locked them down . Started the bike it ran fine . Unless the box and paperwork was mismarked . Been running Fueling the last 3 years only . I put it out there for guys doing a build at home watch a video but buy parts online . I live in Rule , The only bike shop around is 100 miles away .

True, If you already have your bike apart, I would take all lifters apart and clean them really good even new ones and measure the play with a dial indicator to be 100% and know your halfway point with absolute certainty. Then use an adjustable pushrod to add up your length properly so you can order the right fixed length. Do them all separately.

Why not do it in 6th gear, why 5th?

If you have a 6th gear then by all means. But these kits are for sportsters and buells which are 5 speed and this video is one of several on how to install the kit
