Great idea, exactly what I was envisioning for my WR250F. I bought the TUSK dual sport kit, but I'd prefer to keep the stock tail light, and not have the ugly fender that comes with the KIT
I too made a custom bracket for my 06 wr450, I first used the tusk version, then I went back to the stock, made one out of lucite, it broke when I was hitting some big tabletops, I now made one out of aluminum. Hasn't broke yet and it's definitely stronger than plastic. I put longer bolts thru the stock taillight and that's where it bolts up to

what bolts did you use? I tried to do make one this weekend... and i got stuck on using the existing taillight housing and screw hole. I couldn't find a replacement longer screw with the same thread... I'm still trying to figure out what would be best to secure the kydex license plate holder to the stock taillight housing.

see, i have something like that, but when you hits jumps and fling rocks at it, the plate starts bending and eventually snaps off from the two mounting holes.
what bolts did you use to pass the inspection? I'm in the process of making m 2018 r450 street legal.
What screws did you use to mount the plate bracket using existing screw holes? I took the stock screws to find longer ones at the local hardware store and couldn't find a matching screw with the same thread.

What license plate bolts did you use for inspection? How has this held up over time?
It looks like there are several questions about the illuminated bolts/screws for the light on the plate, but I couldn't find any replies. Could you reply to this. I don't see something online for that. Also, has your mount held up over the years?
ive got a WR250f 2020 and i want to do the same thing. but i just dont know how to convert my running light to a break light.
