We are getting ready for the spring by getting the oil changed in our RV Works Cajun Fryer. This 4 gallon cajun fryer has been a workhorse for the last year and we noticed the oil was darkening and it was time for a change. We walk you through the steps we took to get this cajun fryer back up to 100%. Just like a car, you eventually have to change that oil!

    I use a pressure washer to clean the inside once the oil is drained. I also every once in a while filter the oil, just to get rid of the crud that settles in the bottom. Paint filters work well and they are cheap.

    It is 4 Gals and has enough room for quite a bit. They make them with like 6 baskets. @ is more than enough to keep up with.

    Do the crumbs go in a separate part of the fryer or just on the bottom

    The crumbs fall to the bottom under the heat into a valley

    From what I remember yes. Slides in a gap in front and bolts in back. Holds fine. I never take it apart. I think it’s been 2 times.

    Everything. I use once every couple of weeks. I am now changing every 9 months.

    Might be. It’s a on/off valve that you open to get the oil out.

    I bought a 3/4 pipe by 3/4 hose and 1/2 pipe by 3/4 hose but cannot remember the size I used I think it was the 3/4 by 3/4. I kept the one I did not use and will did around or measure mine tomorrow for you.

    @@BBQbyBiggs yes but the repeated heating breaks down that soy oil particularly fast and byproducts produced that you cannot see remain even after straining. There's a reason that restaraunts change out their oil frequently and they're in business to make money so one would assume they would simply scrub the oil but they do not. Because it becomes carcinogenic.
