I use a pressure washer to clean the inside once the oil is drained. I also every once in a while filter the oil, just to get rid of the crud that settles in the bottom. Paint filters work well and they are cheap.
Thanks for the information and tips Aaron, you know I'll be using them! Waiting on the weather to break👍😁 thanks for sharing brother, have yourself a great one, you all stay safe!👍👊🍻🍺

Maintenance doesn't look too terrible. I'm on the fence if I want to grab one of those. I think I've got a couple other projects first.

Do the crumbs go in a separate part of the fryer or just on the bottom
@BBQbyBiggs

The crumbs fall to the bottom under the heat into a valley
What are you cooking in the fryer? Are you doing catering with it?

Is there just one wing nut that holds the tank to the stand?

From what I remember yes. Slides in a gap in front and bolts in back. Holds fine. I never take it apart. I think it’s been 2 times.
What size is the drain hose nipple?
How often or cooks do you think it needs to be changed? You cook mainly fish or what in it?

Is that a gate valve? It looks like a ball valve
@BBQbyBiggs
Жыл бұрын
Might be. It’s a on/off valve that you open to get the oil out.

@@BBQbyBiggs yeah I may be wrong, but im pretty sure it's a ball valve, regardless, I'm building an outdoor kitchen, had their crawfish cooker for years and I've been eyeballing their fryer...think you just sold me on it

@@BBQbyBiggs yes but the repeated heating breaks down that soy oil particularly fast and byproducts produced that you cannot see remain even after straining. There's a reason that restaraunts change out their oil frequently and they're in business to make money so one would assume they would simply scrub the oil but they do not. Because it becomes carcinogenic.
