Thanks buddy for this video as it was very helpful! I purchased my CC 30 H brand new in 2017. I set up the blade change exactly like you did, same ramps, correct 15/16ths socket, blade, etc. Thanks! This was the first blade change on this mower. With the 18 inch breaker bar I couldn't budge it. I'm actually a pretty strong dude. I purchased a 30" breaker bar and saturated the "fused" nut with BLASTER penetrating catalyst. Let her soak and two (2) pulls released it. I actually laid on my back with my feet against the wall which helped allot. (Short dude). Your great informative video caused me to get off of my dead ass and do it myself. It was actually easier than changing the oil which I do every year myself. Thanks again!

Thanks a LOT brotherman!!! My main concern was loosening direction for blade nut. . . Years ago industrial mowers blade nuts were opposite the traditional lefty-loosey righty-tighty, and I figured by now someone like craftsman would have figured a way for their blade to tighten and loosen the good ol fashioned american way. Lol. Plus I forgot that the blade needed to be held still to loosen as well. Thanks for taking the time, I appreciate ya

Set the parking brake, lifted the front of the mower with one hand. Hit the nut with a cordless impact driver in the other and had the blade off faster than the length of the video of the RR at the beginning. Easy Peasy - Thanks for the socket size and the thread direction information.

Nice clear video and instructions! For safety it's best to use a torque wrench to tighten the blade nut to between 70 and 90 ft/lbs.

Based on your experience with these mowers, is there a recommendation of the most reliable 30"? I was looking at the r110 but read about a lot of steering issues which concerned me, but see they are all made by MTD.

Why not just sharpen the blade rather than replace it?
