@feltronium I'm having the same problem. what dod you end up doing? I think the best solution for me right now is to use paracord to act as the string temporarily. pull the paracord as if it were the bowstring, then insert screwdriver and replace string.

The way everyone online makes it sound, is that it's very difficult to change a string on a compound crossbow. You just made it look like a cakewalk and made my day. Thank you. :)

The crossbow went together quickly and the general fit and finish is a bit above what I expected for the price. kzread.infoUgkx5B43Qabqt1HedUJyfEqxiwBCfaooIH52 The adjustable stock is a little loose. I had an issue when I tried to cock the bow for the first time with the safety on. The string set in the trap box, held just enough to build up enough tension to rip the string out of my hands when it let go. No significant damage was done, and once I got it sighted in, I wrecked a couple bolts by sending one straight down the shaft of the first. I'm holding ~2" groups at around 50 yards, and I'm not an expert by any means. Best part is that they supply all the replacements parts you may ever need

K C something terrible will happen when you try and “Jerry rig” am install like this. You’re most likely going to lose a finger it the screw driver loses its traction. How the hell do you expect the cams to be tune correctly by installing the string on the crossbow the way he did? You’re just asking for trouble. If you want to just get a recurve and call it a day. Because I doubt he’s shooting bulleyes after he reinstalled his strings and cables.

@@iHustleLXXXI i can see why you would think that but im not a newb, i know how to time my cams heck i lost track to how many bows ive fixed for my people haha And no i dont think its gonna loose traction when theres 155lb holding it in place, only thing that can go wrong is if you didnt place whatever thing all the way into the cam. But still this method isn't for all the crossbows in the world. At the end of the day this is something that WORKS that i shared cause maybe someone can use this trick if they ever have to replace something out in the field. I still use my bow press for everything tho. And my huntings never been better 👌
