Probably THE BEST video on this that I've watched today. 'Driving to work at 6 am, my '07 Avalanche starting chiming as if a door was ajar, but the chimes were very rapid. I looked at the dash and saw "LOW OIL PRESSURE - TURN OFF ENGINE". I freaked. I put in a quart of oil that I carry with me, continued to work. Just as I was pulling in, same thing. Same message, same audible chimes. I said screw this... drove home, called in to work to explain, booked my truck into the dealership (yah I know - I try to avoid them like the plague too). Another problem that started a few weeks back is the message SERVICE PARK ASSIST - and my rear backup sensors no longer work. The dealership called a few hours ago saying a new sensor install would be $451 Cdn. $251 for the single sensor, $50 to paint to match truck colour (black - they're black anyway), and like $150 to install. It's a $7 sensor, that plugs in and out with your fingers. I ordered a 4-pack off eBay for 25 bucks. I'm DREADING what they're going to say tomorrow (my truck was actually booked in for tomorrow morning but they had a chance to look at the park assist this afternoon). Those sensors are like $70 Cdn. Install as shown in this video is about 10 minutes. I'm sure they'll try to charge me $300 for the part and $700 for install.....

Your problem may have actually just been the little filter screen underneath the sensor. That's all it was for me!

Important note is there is a very small filter screen under the pressure sensor that is usually dirty, throwing bad oil pressure readings. $5 buy from any autoparts store!

Thanks for the video, I did this on my 95 Tahoe years ago, the placement is still similar on my 07 yukon, except now there is less room... i'll get it off.. but dang its tight even compared to your Silverado, I didn't have a 27mm socket so I just bought the "official" socket

So watched the video and felt fairly confident I could tackle this job. Bought the part for 50 bucks at Auto Zone and a 27mm deep socket for 9 bucks. It took about 2 hours....I did figure out why you did not include a better camera angle while making your video. Because you can see the damn thing! I did pull it off in about 2 hours and oil pressure and check engine light are off now. Many thanks. Be careful with the three pins and the harness.....you pretty much have to get it right by touch...thanks for saving me some bucks.

That might be true. The warning lights went off right away, but I just got my truck back from being serviced and they said there is a code, but not sure what it was for (meaning the issue is no longer an issue).
