How to change a damper in a Bradley trailer coupling

How to change a damper in a Bradley trailer coupling.

An indicator the damper has failed is when your trailer bangs into the back of your tow vehicle whilst either braking or setting off.
A damper is most likely to fail due to other issues on the trailer. The main cause for a trailer damper to fail is a poor braking system. If the brakes are not working properly, the coupling moves further than it should because the brakes don't come on in time. The drawtube inside the coupling moves further and works the damper harder, causing it to fail.
Other common reasons for a damper failure is the trailer running over weight regularly or sudden braking.
