You don't need to remove the top from the bottom piece of the air filter box. It'll all just pop out as one piece. Saves some time

There 3 clips pull on both side and lastly the hose and should come right off

The LED lights blink every time I stop and the auto-stop kicks in, it makes it look like I am flashing the lights. Is there anything to fix that problem? Thank you in advance.

The part that makes it hard is my high beams on my 2020. I had to take the battery bracket out. But thank you so much!

Great video. I did make the mistake of removing the high beam on the driver side after replacing the passenger side and not knowing why the bulb would not go in. It wasn’t until I talked to the parts store and they mentioned that the high beam had the wider plug I realized I must have removed the wrong cap. Once I looked inside I could see how the low beam bulb was tucked further in against the car. For those of you reading the comments make sure you don’t remove the high beam cap. 😂 The video was simple and thorough.

That's so interesting that you bring up accidentally pulling out the high beam. Many others have asked about the highbeam bulb, i.e. how to replace, the bulb size, etc. I'm more familiar with Lexus and on those vehicles, there is always a separate cap that is the same size as the low beam. When I made this video, I only saw one cap (for low-beam), and all the sites I checked said this car uses 1 bulb for both high beam and low beam (I've never worked on something like this before). This isn't my car so I never got a chance to look at it again to do a follow-up, but after reading your comment I'm even more confused. When my friend brings the car back from Florida during a school break I'll definitely have to open it up to investigate further and try to find it. I appreciate the comment and I'm glad the video was able to help you! I'm sure your comment will go on to help many others as well. Thank you!

Not really. New bulbs shouldn’t void any warranty. Just order some bulbs following the directions I put in the description. The size of bulb changes depending on the model year of your car. Goodluck with everything! 🙌🏾

Great vid. Your very clear on direction! A tip to think of. If you remove the air intake hose off the housing you dont need to remove the filter. You can remove the whole air cleaner housing in one piece due to the 3 pop out grommets, and then flip the whole housing over.

I have been watching your video and looking on Amazon to try and get these. I have a 2019 Chevy Malibu and when I click for the Lasfit it’s saying that they do not fit my model. Can you help please?

Question, video & instructions are great, but I do have an issue/problem, trying to change the driver side headlamp, I can take the cover off but I cannot get the headlamp out because I cannot get a good enough grip on the headlight. Is there a tool that one can use the grasp and turn the socket that holds the headlight ?

Got a question if anyone can answer should I add a load equalizer on this or shouldn’t have to worry about it burning my wires?

Any tips on how to actually and easily remove dust cover caps? They are tearing me and my dad’s hands up because they’re hard to grip and they just won’t come off no matter how hard we turn counterclockwise. I have a 2020 Malibu. Any suggestions help.

Unfortunately I don’t. I’ve never installed kits like that on any of our cars. I know Amazon sells some DIY kits like that. They plug into the cigarette lighter/ 12V for power and are universal fit, just cut the lights to the length you want. Those will probably be your best bet! Or if you want something really professional and custom I would talk to an automotive speciality shop. Goodluck!

This 2017 Chevy Malibu LT uses a single 9005 bulb for both high-beam and low-beam. You may have a different headlamp due to your trim level (Although everything I am seeing online says all malibus of this generation only use 9005 for both unless you have the LED upgraded headlamps?) If your lowbeams actually are H11, I would just buy the LASFIT bulbs in size H11. Again though, every source I check including autozone and different chevy dealer part sites are all saying the high and low beam bulb size for the LT trim is 9005. Are you sure your car has H11? Try using autozone's website, enter your trim, and see what they say. Hope this helps!

How are the led headlights holding up still? I was thinking about buying the same ones for my 2016 Malibu. Just want to make sure they’re worth the money and no issues have come up with the car.

I think it's easier to remove it like that. Plus with my way, you keep the top half still connected to everything which makes it easier and less steps when putting it all back together. It's just personal preference at the end of the day!

To be honest, this is not my car, this is my friends car, so I’m not very familiar with the buttons inside. It’s nothing crazy though. I just flipped every light switch to “ON” instead of “auto”. This car doesn’t even have fog lights. I’m pretty sure it’s just 1 switch that controls them all. Just switch it to “ON” and everything should turn on. Maybe they changed it on the newer years to not do that?? But this is a 2017 and that’s all we did!

So I have a 2022 Malibu. Which headlight bulb do I need for normal night driving? H11 or 9005?

Whatever brand you bought might have a bulb design that is too long or wide. Rare, but I’ve seen it happen before with all these LED brands. I’d say: 1.) Double check and make sure you bought the correct size bulb and that it atleast plugs into the connector and turns on. 2.) If it does and design is your issue, just return those bulbs and order the same size and color from a different brand! Best of luck 🙏🏾

Hey man I order the light from the link, i put it in and it works but the lid to access the bulb isn't closing. The led bulb back end sticks out too much. Did you have this problem?

No I did not have any problems. Are you sure it’s aligned correctly and locked in place correctly? Maybe one of those tabs is not correct and causing it to tilt. Worst case scenario return it and buy a different brand but you should not be having this problem. I would double check the fitment on both sides! Sorry you’re dealing with this! Hopefully you get it figured out quick!

Lights flickering at start doesn’t seem like a problem but the battery drain is very concerning. I did not have any problems. Get your car checked! You’ve got a loose connection somewhere!
