How to celebrate Ostara || The traditional spells for Ostara || Learning witchcraft

A full and fun description of how to celebrate the vernal equinox that we all know as Ostara. Ostara is the name of the festival and of the ancient goddess of spring, who’s totem is the magical hare. Hare’s were considered so sacred in previous times that it was considered incredibly unlucky to kill one, not least because it might be the goddess Ostara herself. This is part of my sabbat series of videos on witchcraft for special events such as Ostara.
Although many consider the vernal equinox as the first day of spring us witches have been at it since Imbolc, cold and hard though it has been we have already seen the beauteous snowdrops and the mesmerising blackthorn blossom and now is the time for us to reap the rewards of spring

That's what I like about witches. We celebrate Ostara with real chickens, not the kind made with marshmallows. Yes, it's criminal how the price of witchcraft supplies have skyrocketed. That's why I make my own candles and other things as much as I can. Great video! We've had an unusually cold Spring in Southern California so I look forward to Midsummer.

Ostara is one of my favorite holidays, especially because my local area is still blanketed in several feet of snow. But we're gaining daylight, and that and the warmer temps are reason enough to celebrate!

I appreciate how you give a bit of history and reasons for practices behind the holidays. The birthday candle tip is a excellent one. Good for short spells and inconspicuous for closet witches. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the world. Many blessings.

How to celebrate Ostara: Celebrate the Spring Equinox any damn way you want. Find symbols that speak to you. Write prayers that move you to divine presence. not someone elses. Cook what you want. Use colors that feel right to you. Roast an elephant, paint your room orange, pray to the great celestial toaster oven, decorate your altar with poison oak, spend the day playing ARK killing dinos and sing Mama Mia if that's what feels right to you. Stop listening to what everyone else tells you the holiday is about. Because if you do, then why did you leave an Abrahamic faith?

Ostara was an invention of one of the Grimm brothers. I have yet to find historical evidence she was indeed an ancient germanic or norse goddess.
