How to celebrate Beltane || Wiccan Wheel of the year
My Favourtie Festival! This is my Mayday rituals showing you how to celebrate Beltane, one of the wiccan wheel of the year sabbats. Some think that this was mainly celebrated by the ancient herders, as this signalled the time when the cattle and sheep could be moved to the high pastures, being the start of summer.
It is one of the four fire festivals for the year the others marking the start of autumn, winter and spring. They would have been celebrated with great bonfires on top of the hills surrounding the towns and villlages.
This time of year also had an underlying death note, some ancients worshipped the God Bile in this festival, he was the God who lead the Gaels from the Otherworld over the see to Eire and it was said that human sacrifices were made in his honour.

I have a Scottish heritage, was always told that the 30th April is the devil's birthday. That's why the hearth fire was put out as to not attract him. As you said: The bonfire was lit outside & kept alight until dawn. Once the night was over & the village protected, then as you say the new hearth fires were lit with the embers as the bonfire had protected them, seen as home blessing for the year.

It is quite a northern tradition that the 30th is the devils birthday, not so much heard of in the south…
this is what I love. a brief explanation, some examples and ideas on what you can do and lovely little stories about one's childhood and life experiencing things. I love this video and her voice is so sweet and engaging!!
This is my first video of yours and I already adore it. I'm a witch practicing of 5 years but I'm very young. I started when I was 11. I was saddened that I couldn't do a proper may day celebration this year, so this was very exciting and interesting to watch. I always watch Beltane videos around this time of year and this was my favourite!

Basket 🧺 of flowers 💐 that’s lovely but it’s 40°F here and we have no flowers and we probably won’t have any flowers this three weeks I do have some beautiful little bulbs that I planted last year that are really sweet popping up but nothing like this.

I love your content! As a baby witch who is still researching, you are very helpful! I do have one questions though, "How do you find who your spirit guide is?" I have heard a lot about them, and it would be awesome if you could explain! Thank you so much!

Quite often you need a little help from others when starting to find your spirit guide. Others will be able to guide you to them, and once you know who they are then it is easier to connect. Do you have any new age shops in your area? They will most likely know people who can help with this.
