    I use similar lures 40 years ago deep divers for bream and flathead when many only believed bait would catch these species. Very well done mate.

    Great video, always wanted to get in lure fishing. How deep do those deep/shallow lures go? Maybe you could show us a video on how you tie your leader/knot/lure etc? Keep up the good work.

    Thanks Frank! In practice, the shallow seems to work between 1-1.5m and the deep at 1.5-2.5m. I'll do a leader knot at some stage 👍

    Sem, it depends on the area that your'e fishing. Usually the deep divers are more versatile and result in more fish at the risk of snagging. The shallow does have its place. It tells me potentially that the lure wasn't in the strike zone

    Hi D_won, yes you can slow roll soft plastics as well if you can keep them down in the strike zone. They work well for some fish like whiting

    Hi Rachel! Yes I use Squidgies S Factor often on soft plastic lures. I do use it on hardbody lures but much more rarely.

    so been fishing about 4-5 months now never caught any thing on a hard body after trying to many times ( daiwa double clutch, Savage and atomic crank baits, hard vibes, soft vibes, blade vibes ) watched this went out the next day wind was stuffed couldnt cast thought stuff it ill troll a hard body on my way back in the kayak you never know. Boom 4 fish later 2 legal bream ( 30,28) one small bream at 21n and a 20cm tailor #shroomsdoneitagain

    For the hardbody, just continue the retrieve and you'll end up winding on the fish into a hookset most of the time. Striking seems to not work as well as it does for plastics

    Yes it's good and bad. Good because that's the reason why fish are there but it can be problematic if it keeps fouling the lure.

    No Mr X. These lures sink when you wind them in. They dive into the water when you pull them slowly

    Probably anything deeper than 4m, the crankbaits will only get to about mid-water level.
