    i learned to start using slip bobber with my jigs cause i'm tired of losing them to snags and weeds, at the time figured not many ppl do this technique and it was working out for me but i never leave home without worms, i usually tip the jigs with it for much better catch rate as the fish go for it more and tend to hold on longer than juts taking a nip at the plastic, last time i was out fishing was early november at this canal and i caught slab bluegills one after the other barely 30 secs between hookups got me about 64 fish in 3 hrs but that's it for this year till spring as i have not ice fished in a long time

    Good video Sir! a few questions for myself and those that may be wondering. What about this location made you go with the orange? The dingy color of the water and it being overcast at first? Also, what types of cover do you look for in the creeks and how long do you give a spot if it’s not producing before moving? This spot here looks like a ditch that empties into the creek

  • @903fishing

    @903fishing

    6 ай бұрын

    Well this video was about how to catch crappie with a jig and bobber. I did talk about water clarity and how it wasn’t too muddy. So a bright color would work. I usually look for bends if a creek doesn’t have much cover or trees like this one. I give a spot about 5-10 cast. If they are there, and they want to bite, they will. Also don’t forget to change your depths as well. A foot can matter between catching fish and not. Thanks for watching! God bless

    Is there a difference between using a slip bobber set up and just using a adjustable bobber that you can take on and off? besides that a slip bobber is a little faster to adjust? I’m curious to know is there a advantage to using a slip cork setup. Thanks in advance.

  • @903fishing

    I prefer a slip bobber setup all year long. If I fish with a regular bobber and get hung up, I’m losing my whole rig. But with a slip cork and a mono leader, if I get hung up 90% of the time I only have to re do my mono leader and hook/jig head. I also think that slip bobbers have less resist than regular fixed corks. Just me though. Thanks for watching! God bless!

    I stopped using a bobber stop bead on my setup. The hole on the bobber is about the perfect size. One less thing to deal with while on the water.

    You assume that we know all that you are speaking about. Bober Stop Not, (How do you tie a bober stop not?), What is a barrel swivel and how do you tie it to your line? Would some of you who are producing fishing how to video post show us step by step instructions without the entire video focusing on you instead of the how to step by step techniques? It would be greatly appreciated if someone could learn something from these videos with detailed instructions from start to finish. Just a thought GOOD LUCK with with your channel.

    @Gstar5150 lol I use a barrel swivel with a mono leader so if I get hung up and break off, 9 times out of 10 the mono breaks at the barrel swivel so I don’t have to re rig my whole rig.

    @@903fishing those bobbers are only like 60 cents a pop tho, it's way easier to just thread a new bobber on rather than tying 2 knots to a swivel, alot of times they'll float back to ya.
