I just passed three years since my dads passing and watching this reminded me of my dad taking my brother and I out fishing and crabbing in the Chesapeake when we were kids. Every year about this time is a little hard for my family but watching this gives me good feels. We don't know each other but thanks for helping me smile today. I needed that. Bless you Rob and your family.

I think a 20 footer this time! :-) The best boat deals I have found are me always going up to the house with a boat that's obviously been sitting for awhile and ask, "what you going to do with that boat?" Once the boat is advertised, you have to fight the masses. My first boat was $350, the second was $1500. Deals are out there if you look and aren't scared to get your hands dirty. Cheers brother.

bluefish and jacks are fun and yes, you can eat both. Just learn the process cycle (bleed and brine ice ASAP, remove blood lines, properly season). I caught and ate sashimi bonito last month and it was fantastic! All those fish can be caught near shore, bluefish and jacks on jettys, piers and seawalls. Bonito, snapper, grouper and king fish all in 30'+ water. Bleed while the heart is pumping and ice. Put on some light tackle and tight lines.

As we love in Alberta Canada sometimes we would go to a small lake by our home fishing for perch, but mostly we fished for northern pike which are my favorite fish to eat. My dad would make a floured seasoning with seasoning salt, onion powder, garlic powder it tastes so good, I still use that same mix today. When I cook all I use is seasoning salt, onion powder, and garlic powder, it keeps everything nice and simple and on chicken no need for shake and bake.

Rob, you rock my man! I would love to hear more from you on how to catch other fish like Mangrove Snappers, Groupers, etc! :D Barracuda for me is easy since all I have to do is just live bait a ballyhoo and just wait like 5 minutes

Interesting video...love the details of how to rig the line/pole. I have never worked with braid except for my jewelry beading, similar, but not. I had never seen wire used in rigging a bait before, either! (remember, only fishing from a dock!) I really like the underwater shots of the caught fish as well...beautiful!!!

congratulations robert for making this great video a year ago. You had asked us to comment what our dream fish is and I would like to say goliath grouper but im celebrating 20 years of crappie fishing and I thats all i can think about. I took out the family allumicraft we got from from my grand dad on sunday by myself. LONG story short I weighed down the back of the boat and it half sank. i was barely able to save it from sinking into Lake Lewisville, Tx. But i did save everything except the battery and inverter. What a mess! Im still going to get out there, i just hope the ol boat can take it.

Rob you are so informative about all you do. You always take time to explain things when your going it and so grateful for what you catch and your connection with the Lord. Love watching You and Sarah, such a joy!! How about you make some tutorial, teaching, information video on how to tye knotts, what fish like what for bait and rod set up and why. Like why do you make the braid wet when tying it? What is braid and why use it? Just basic info for someone that doesnt know anything about fishing and how they can start. Whatever ya can think of to tell us. And then some on hunting and stuff like. the you have for fishing, hunting and nature in general is so awesome to watch and feel threw you. Yes all your vids are informative and you share your knowledge with us, I was just thinking that if ya put if you put all the basic knowledge types in video for us to have together. To the person that complained about you not measuring for ingredients.... well baking is the only thing ya really need to measure and what order to use things cuz it is a science n chemicals reactions cooking is made with taste n love...

Mahi mahi, sailfish, tuna and grouper are some of my dream fish that I want to catch. We travel to Florida every other year and try to get out and fish while I'm there. Last trip we went to Siesta key, Sarasota and it was first time I did get out to fish there.. I caught a small Snook then and some other fish. Wonderful waters to fish in. Just love your channel Rob.
