Yep I use bricks to and flat rocks sometimes just chisel groves in middle so cable or wire can tie on and stay

Caught my first beaver on a castor mound set. I used a 330 for the trap.

I’m guessing you mean 3/32”. I believe it will work, I use 1/8” braided cable since that what menards had when I was there.

@@aidenlawyer1839 what cable lock did you use? i have some extra 5/32 braided cable going to use as a drowning cable.
It appears your audio isn't balanced on this video. All of the voice is faded to the right channel.
Footholds DON"T work at all. I've set them 8 times and had nothing but misses, 8 in a row. All traps fired and no beaver (in one trap beaver's toe). I've only caught one duck and one frog. Various traps: Duke#3, Oneida Victor jump#4, Oneida Victor longspring#4, even old home made russian foothold. I've tried to change location, depth of placement and always to no avail. That's pitiful. In the meantime I had caught 5 beavers in snares. Footholds are useless junk.
