    I remember when nobody would tell you how to trap. I am glad that we have a place to learn now. Keep up the great work. I caught 10 coon this last season on the coon buster bait. Pretty good for the 8 acres I trapped.

    I miss old Johnny. I was friends with him & his stepson Donnie in the mid-80s when Johnny lived in Needles California. I used to go over just to listen to Johnny share his trapping & treasure hunting stories with me. As a Young Man at only 15, 16 & 17 years old at that time. I felt honored that Johnny would take the time to sit down with me & share his stories with me. He didn't just talk the talk. At the end of the each story, he would bring out some of the treasures he found to show you & Let you hold them. I kept in touch with him after I moved to Southern Illinois until, one day he did not answer his phone and I learned what had happened. When I moved from Needles California to Southern Illinois, I learned that Johnny was a world-famous trapper. Johnny never hinted anything of the kind to me. None of my co-workers (who were Hunters) believed me when I told them I knew him. You only meet someone like Johnny once in a lifetime! I am now 54 years old. Thank you for the great memories Johnny. The great Adventures you took me on as you shared your stories with me will never be forgotten. I was a young man of only 16-17 yrs old at the time but, I will remember them for the rest of my life!

    Very informative. I have a Pond in Michigan that's about an acre and I butt up to a golf course and these little buggers are tearing up my shoreline. Now I know what I need to do to make them go away. I thought my dog broke his leg last week when he fell in a rat hole.

  • @NorthAmericanTrapperTV

    Pan tension out of box is probably in the #2 / #2.5 range. They can easily be adjusted by Rod dog or base if needed. Good luck.

    Why are you keeping the cat unless there are new rules, and regulations regarding cats? Really need to take the cats out! Why unless it is due to Illinois guidelines during traping season need to take them out as well. Sincerely! R.S.V.

    I’ve only been trapping for a couple years now mostly self taught besides watching you and couple other and learning how. I’ve got a little problem on with trapping coons. The problem is in dp’s is the coons are pulling their toes off in the traps any suggestions on what I should do to correct this issue? Im not having that happen with possums only coons.

    We have been trapping all winter and our male to female ratio was 22:1 until the weather got warmer now its done to 6:1. It's this normal for females to hold in the den until the weather gets warmer?

    What exactly is the oil sacs and castor? Scrotum? Scat?

  • @langwaydpful
    @langwaydpful2 ай бұрын

    Beaver reproduces similar to chickens. Each has a coaca and lack external parts. The oil is for waterproofing their fur and castor gland is used to mark territory and find a mate
