Wiccans cast spells very carefully if they're know what they're doing. They use the power of the divine. They work guided by it. I always suggest that people do a little divination before they undertake spellcasting, that they ask if it's appropriate to cast the spell, and that they ask for guidance in casting the spell so that they get information. The symbols that come up will help you to determine which element you want to work with, whether you want to work with air or fire or water or earth or a combination of them. And if you're given advice not to do it, take the advice. If you're going to go ahead, my recommendation in casting any kind of a spell is while you want to have a specific purpose a goal in mind, and intent, the risk with all spells is that we tap into our unconscious and we do it unconsciously. And there are all kinds of complications dwelling down there.
Nothing evil, nothing dire, but complications, the things that we have yet to learn about ourselves. And that is in fact one of the points of a spell not working out or not working out as you intended. It's an opportunity to learn something you needed to learn about yourself. So the safeguard in dealing with these unknown unconscious forces that can influence the outcome of a spell is by using the sacred as your partner. One way is by asking advice, by using divination, by engaging in dialogue with the divine. The other way is an almost foolproof method that I really love, which is to leave a certain space. I always do this when I do any kind of ritual. I never over-script. And when you do a spell, you never over-script. You always leave a space for the divine to express itself in the outcome of the event. So if you need transportation to get to work. I think we were talking about that before.
If you need transportation to get to work, you don't ask for a Ferrari. You ask for transportation. If you need a new apartment, you don't ask for the penthouse on Park Avenue. You ask for a new home. You trust the universe to help you in finding the thing that's right for you at the time that you cast the spell. And the spell is not a pleading with a divinity that is greater than you and looking down on you because you're weak and helpless. In fact, it's a partnership. So you must go to the indwelling divinity, the well of your own gifts.
And bring that out creatively. That's what a spell is. It is this work of art. You can go to a book and copy a spell and follow it precisely, but we're not dealing with a mechanical universe. You're living within a living, conscious, sacred universe. And so you need to approach it as such. And that's the essence of casting a successful spell, that you respect the sacred universe. You invoke it as your partner. You ask for its guidance. You work with its energy, and you trust it to provide the outcome that's best for you. And that's what you ask for in a spell. Whatever the topic of the spell is, you ask for the best outcome. And that's a great way to cast a great spell.

What do you exactly mean by imagination? You have to think about what your intention is during the ritual and what you wish to become true. But your mind has to be clear from any negative energy. So yeah, you have to use your imagination, your mind and your words, but wisely

megan watson funny thing is. i'm a satanist and a wiccan. as they share similar views and ideals. satanism holds views of sticking up for yourself, not blindly following rules, we do not worship satan. wiccan beliefs are of nature and being one within yourself. i went on a tangent but idk.

@ttm gamer You might want to check your resources again, but Wicca is based on pagan, pre-christian beliefs. Satan was not part of pagan culture. There can be no Wiccan who believes in satan, simply because Wiccans do not recognize this particular entity. I think you are confusing a Wiccan with a witch. A witch ( who is not Wiccan or pagan ) may or may not believe in satan/demons. But Wiccans do not. They believe in pagan gods instead.

@ttm gamer Yeah but the original post talked about Satan particularly. Not just any "demon". They asked whether wicca can be satanic or not. And to that I answered no, because wicca does not acknowledge the existence of biblical entities. Hence, it cannot be satanic.

Marvin Guigar you do realise that wiccans (it’s a religion btw and for other Wiccas out there pls correct me I’m still a baby Wicca lol) , we believe in not being more ore less than the animals and well nature surrounding us. We seek advice from them (basically energetic spirits) and try to turn the infinite energy into Smth finit. We do NOT make deals with the devil or what ever u were saying and yes, there is a difference between nature and it’s energy and the devil. It’s basically as if you’d say doing yoga, meditating trying to become one is seeking for the devils help or smth

Quick explanation: (DISCLAIMER: no one practices a religion the same as another and these are general descriptions) Pagan: historically 'pagan' was the name given to those who did not practice the christian/Catholic religion. Wiccan: Wiccan is a religion that is included within paganism but pagans are not necessarily wiccans Wiccans believe in being no greater or less than nature and other animals and live by a rule of doing no harm to living things. Witches: being a witch is NOT a religion, therefore, (as an example) Christians can be witches as well as a Christian (even though some believe this conflicts with their beliefs) Being a witch means you believe in spirits and black/white magic and most witches also perform spells.
