It’s Really hard to not push harder on final stroke but it definitely makes a huge difference when I slow it down. I also usually let go of the line (and it spins around the rod just above handle). Great advise, but I recommend everyone take lesson in person . It’s amazing what your doing and can’t see but someone else can. My big issue was over gripping and don’t forget to relax and breath
