Yay, sounds really cool! You can also make a hanging decorations out of them... our just hide them around the house :)

I actually carved this owl from cherry as well at some point, it wasn't too bad! The good thing is it is small project, so shouldn't be as energy-consuming as rooster!

Why does every one of this youtubers use this basswood? Here is it hars to find. I use to carve branches instead.. To easy whith this basswood? 😅

Really? I feel like it's one of the most accessible types of wood. Mind you, it might be called different in other countries. We call it lime wood, other people - linden wood. It's dry, rather soft and usually comes in nice pre-cut blocks. But you can use whatever works best for you! Branches are cool too, and they are free :D
