How to Carve a Face in a Golf Ball!! I Canada Day Carving | Golf
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This video is a step by step guide to carving a face in a golf ball. My golf ball carvings are usually caricature carvings that emphasize areas of the face such as the nose, eyes, ears and mouth. There is lots of room for creativity in golf ball carving so feel free to play with different facial expressions, hair styles, hats, etc. Hope you are able to learn something new, it was a beautiful weekend to do some carving. Happy Canada Day everyone!
I apologize for the couple of points were it goes blurry, can't go backward in a carving video to re-record :) ...still trying to get use to this camera.

Thanks for this. I've had a lot of fun carving - most favored is an ugly face I call The Bogie Man (not Boogeyman) because, once hung on your golf bag, it scares away the bogeys.
Appreciate you brother, this was really helpful 😁🙏

Awesome! Glad you liked it!
Do you have a video that recommends what tools to get?? I want to try carving golf balls and need to know what the tools are called. Thank you.
For the reals I'm the first. Just stumbled on to your channel. Think I found my new thing with these golf balls. So just getting started in the market for gauges. Looking at flexcut. I see you use some of their stuff. Good direction to go. This is just a past time deal. Have the set of two finish and carve knives from flexcut. Aswome job

Thanks Armando, I hope you enjoy getting into golf ball carving. So many ways to get creative with it. Most golfers are quite surprised that you can actually carve the inside. I think Flexcut tools are a great place to start. I prefer using the palm sets for hand carvings such as golf balls or various basswood carving projects. Helps to have a mini set of gouges as well for detailed work...not required initially though. Depending where you live there may be some other good options but Flexcut is a go to for most carvers. The tools last a very long time so I would just recommend not buying the cheapest set you see as you will be disappointed and likely buy the Flexcut or other high quality tools anyway.
Can you use a Drexel or it will burn?

Hey @JesusRamirez, great question. Although I have never tried carving a golf ball with a Dremel I know that you can, that it works great and does not burn. You can find a few videos on KZread of people doing it...here is one for quick reference. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lY2dq6Wfe9yvkrQ.html Cheers!
