The best snowman ⛄️.. loving the less is more.. just what I taught
Doug great video. Always the enjoy them. Like you said, always make them your own. Even if you make the same one over and over they will always be different, you can't always make them exactly the same.
Thank you for the tutorial, I got a knife for Christmas and are going to start carving
Thank you, Doug! I am going to show this video to my grandson to MAYBE get his head out of that cell phone. We can only try!

I love it. Have a great weekend Doug. From Canada.
I love all your videos, you just keep on doing them the way you’ve always done them!! Your simple snowman from last year was the first carving I did. You’re a great inspiration!
Thanks Doug
Aw, he's got a whittle heart... 😅 Couldn't help it, love the tutorial!
Thanx you for showing us on how you do this. Trying to find bass wood in western Australia is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. 👍🙂🐶
I like the snowman good work Doug God Bless and keep on carving
Doug you should do a book on your projects I buy a copy I’m sure others will follow suit be a good seller 🇮🇹🐾🦊🇬🇧💵💰
So enjoy watching you carve Doug, it’s therapeutic and fun, and your skills are the best, of course☃️🥰
You got me started carving 'little people' with your tutorials. I look forward to more and more and more. Thanks Doug.

Thanks Doug. Really liked the snowman. Going to try one with giving his heart away. ❤
Loved this video Doug nice snowman, i like that you mentioned make this project your own, cant wait till the next one. By the way loved the groot nice job.
Thanks Doug 👍. I can't draw, like at all, but when I see a finished carving I can make it my own and recreate a similar finished product and love doing it! Just a knife (added a small gouge and a V tool) like you suggested in your what do I need vid and I'm going for hours!
Keep the beginner tutorials coming. I am a beginner. Thanks for teaching us.
Thank you Doug. I can and do, watch you carve everyday.
So fun! Really enjoy your channel. Peace and Good Fortune and Good Health to you and your family. All the best.
You're right Make it your own. Many people try to make exactly what you curve That's very difficult to do. Lot of the other sites I go to you see the same figure all the time it would be a spirit or anything like that Paul
Great job Doug, look awesome.
Such a cute snowman. 😺💖
Always love your videos Doug. Nice thing about these carving is that anyone can tweak it to make it more personalized.

Awesome, I’m just starting out do these Whittling/Carving, so this is perfect timing. Great work, love it and love how you give us newbies different options. Thanks 🙏🏻👍👍💙

Yet again Doug you’ve blowing me away I loving all your videos I will try to get bass wood here in The UK 🇬🇧 take care Doug stay safe
Thanks for the new project, Doug! BTW, painting Groot was the best. So grateful for what you continue to teach us.
Nice!!! Your comment in the beginning, about size, was spot on. I spent a year carving nothing but the simple Santa's...42 of them, at 1x1x6. Then I went to carve something out of a 2x2x6...OMG, what a difference. That will take some getting use to. Thanks for the inspiration!
Jouho. New full tutorial. Missed those.
Found your channel and I love it, I finished work through Anxiety and I find your videos really relaxing. So, thank you very much for that, you are helping people more than you realise. p.s. Love the snow scenes outside your property.,
Last year I chose your simple Santa- carved out 12 as gifts. This year will be this rustic simple snowman. I love your videos!! Please keep putting them out!👍🏻❤️
Great to see you back with a new tutorial. I really enjoy the way you teach woodcarving these basswood caricatures. I finally got around to making a carving that is original to me...a cartoon whale for my daughter and granddaughter. Thank you for all you have taught me.

Thank you so much for another tutorial for us beginners. By the way, you are "guilty" of having myself engaging in this beautiful, relaxing and rewarding hobby. Thanks to you, I found in what spend my free hours now that I'm retired. Well... not that much "free hours" and not that much "retired" when you have two daughters and four grand-kids that ask for help int heir day-to-day duties, but anyway... any minute free is dedicated to learn, try, and advance in woodcarving. Thank you very much, Doug. Keep up the good work in your channel and never stop gifting us with your videos.

Been working wood and building things for years but new to carving. I have to admit, I really enjoy the way you present your projects and the common sense approach you use to get things done. Really enjoy the channel and your work. Thanks for sharing. I have been bitten by the carving bug pretty hard.

Very nice love watching your videos ⛄️⛄️⛄️⛄️⛄️❤️👍 Great job 👍👍👍👍
For the record those little gouge swoops are called a scalloped finish 😁 and I love the way it makes the texture pop in a carving. I do it on one of my work from time to time and love the outcome every single time
BTW. Yes interested in you sharing more and more!
I’d call that the golf ball look
I love your channel! You deserve many more subscribers.
