This video is on the how to calibrate the EPB10K digital scale. We are Precision Weighing Balances and you can order the EPB10K from our web site scaleman.com/epb-10k-10000g-x... or balance.balances.com/scales/262
The EPB10K is an affordable compact digital scale with a huge 10,000 grams weighing capacity and increments in one tenth of a gram divisions. We also offer an EPB6K (6000g x 0.1g) and EPB3K (3000g x 0.1g) and the calibration procedure is similar to these models. Calibration is simply but does require the purchase of an optional calibration weight.
Before starting calibration the digital scale should be turned on for at least 10 minutes with nothing on the platform. All scales should be warmed up for best calibration.
The EPB is one of the few scales on the market that allows you to use any size calibration weight within the weighing range of the digital scale. We always recommend you calibrate the scale with a weight at least 50% of the weighing capacity for accurate weighing results over the full weighing range. So for the EPB10K you should use at least a 5kg weight, for the EPB6K at least 3kg and EPB3K at least 1500g, but if all you have was a 1kg mass you could calibration the EBP scale.
1. Turn the EPB10K Scale ON. The display will performance the power up sequence and you will notice the display counting downing FFFFFF - GGGGGG - ... - 222222 - 111111
2. Once the display shows six(6) dashes "- - - - - -" press and release the "Zero" key. After releasing the "Zero" key wait a moment and the display will show 'CAL"
3. Press the "Zero" button and the scale's display shows the calibration weight value in grams that is stored in the balance with the first digit blinking. So the display shows 05000 meaning a 5000g weight is required for calibration. Proceed to step 5 if you want to use this value.
4. To change the default calibration weight value you select the "UNIT" key to move the flashing digit to the right.
To change the value of the blinking digit press the "PCS" key to increment the number 1-2-3..-8-9-0
5. Once you have selected the calibration weight value you want to use for calibration just place the calibration weight on the platform. Do not touch the weighing platform during weighing. Wait for the "stabilization indicator" to illuminate in the lower left of the display and press the "Zero" key to confirm calibration. The new calibration parameters are now stored in the scales eprom.
6. Press the "On/Off" key to turn off the scale. Remove the calibration weight from the weighing platform. Once you turn ON the digital scale the new calibration settings are used.
You can now test your scale's calibration by placing the calibration weight and other calibration weights to verify your scale reads accurately.
