Bollocks to that. .. I just + or - the elevation with the distance then I divide that by . 1.0 (standard) 1.1 (fast) 1.2 (very fast) 1.3 (tournament) 1.4 (champ) . then divide by the putter number and that gives me the meter percentage. Easy and simple.

thanks, this is good. will you be doing an updated video on calculating the break of a putt?

I've been using this for a few weeks, I paused your video each calculation so I could figure out what you were doing lol. The only problem is with seriously long putts where it's L50 H2ft(24) I have to take a bit off. But good stuff. How do you work out rough distances do you just map them out with each club or is there an easier way?

I am curious why “faster” green speeds result in a lower adjusted distance on uphill putts. For uphill putts a “faster” green should require a higher adjusted distance than a slower green because less friction results in more slipping. A putt that is on a level surface will travel further when there is less friction, but a +1% slope will require more force on a faster green relative to a slower one to cover the same distance. I think these calculations get the downhill right, but fail to account for the coefficient of rolling friction’s impact on uphill putts when adjusted for green speed. Gravity is always pulling an uphill putt back downhill, however the friction of the green is holding it from rolling back. The faster the green, the greater the back pull effect.

For me this is frustrating on pc KZread your go to link has me having to sign up & join drop box with my credit card details & won't let me access the putting calculator unless I do...then on my android phone youtube I can directly access & download the putting link without having to sign up to anything...except once the putting app link is downloaded...it wont let me open the file at all. So after all is said & done...what a complete waste of my ******* time

Doesn't work for long putts. Say L=40, h=5, GS =13; your formula gives 145. No way. My formula gives 31.4, which includes a 1.5 extra strength past the hole.

    My formula gives 31.4 ... (.61 X 40) = 24.4 + 5 (Elevation) = 29.4 + 2 = 31.4
