You can use it no problem, I have used another paper because there we are getting more points

when i try to open edit keywords , it has only data for parts but not has any data for material , sections , steps .....et

Dear can you please confirm that for CDP in Abaqus the concrete stress- strain relationship we need to use is for a confined concrete or unconfined concrete ?? Actually i have a simulation in which the grout is confined by steel sleeve so i need to know that i modelled the sleeve in Abaqus with grout and i believe that Abaqus should consider the confining effect of this steel sleeve on grout and therefore in my CDP i used the unconfined stress - strain relationship ..is my approach ok or i need to used the confined stress -strain relationship for my CDP ?

According to me it should be confined, even if abaqus is providing confirming effect but the stress defined is for unconfined . So both are contradictory

@@abaqusfem thanks for the reply but if we use the confined stress strain relationship for CDP then there is still need to model the sleeve in Abaqus.? Secondly all material value to be entered in Abaqus are taken from a coupon test (just a conversion to true stress-strain ) but for the grout or concrete considering your opinion we cannot directly use the cylinder testing results and have to use a model to convert this unconfined stress strain data to confined stress -strain data

Simple explanation, if 10 is the yield stress of UNCC and 12 is the yield stress of CNC then the concrete will yield at stress value of 10 irrespective of confinement provided by abaqus which i guess is wrong

@@abaqusfem it means for modelling a confined concrete specimen in Abaqus the stress strain relationship used in CDP should be of a confined concrete and for this we cannot use directly the cylinder stress-strain data

Hi Dear, I provided unconfined stress-strain curve in modelling, after analysis, I am getting higher stress values than max unconfined stress for a few elements (critical element). Is this the effect of confinement? In fact for without reinforcement also I m getting higher stress than provided maximum stress.

when we use the value from the material you use it will not produce the same inelastic property.
