In sounding the COT of tanker, i used the standard chart T 52 and 54. for observed temperature and density. .i agree with you, density will be take from laboratory. We could not get the accurate but slight different and acceptative to international stanaded and even API 60 to Centigrate 15 there is slight different, and could not be avoided during steaming time .

at the end there is a correction.... it should be 95.7708

Thank you sir, and i want to take this opportunity for the benefit of all, mostly for the beginners like me. My Question sir is, how or is there a way we can know in advance the density of the fuel that is going to be supplied to us. Since that fuel is yet to be loaded or bunkered onboard? 🙄🙄🙄 Is it posible that we can ask the owner/charterer to get the correct sg so we can compute how much exactly or at least close enough to the ordered quantity. The supplier will give you the density. During the bunkering procedure, the fuel will be sampled and afterwards will be taken to a lab to be analyzed, and compared to the density the supplier provided.
