How to build your own manometer for experiments at home (for less than RM3!) [PHYSICS ROX]

In this video, I show you how to build your own manometer out of materials you can find easily in stores near you or at home.
You can use this manometer to conduct simple experiments at home to study liquid pressure. Be creative and explore more experiments that you can conduct with this simple apparatus!
This apparatus can be used in conjunction with experiments for Pressure of Liquids in SPM and IGCSE O-Level Physics.

    Thank you to all who chipped in with the answer! Yes, to calculate the volume of trapped air, you need to calculate based on the physical shape, i.e. if it is a cylinder it is based on (pi x r^2). One way you can get the volume without calculation is to make the markings on the tube up to where you want to measure the volume. Then remove the tube from the apparatus so it's just the tube on its own. Pour water exactly in the section of the tube where you want to get the volume of. The volume of water you poured in = volume of air. To get the pressure of trapped air, you will need to do some calculations, i.e. atmospheric pressure - water pressure. The value will be very small as it is negligible, but you can still get a number.
