Oxygen Not Included Spaced Out Info:
Here's what you can expect to find in Spaced Out so far:
- New Multi-World Gameplay! The Starmap and space program have been completely redesigned to allow you to span your Duplicant civilization across multiple planetoids, each with their own resources to contribute.
- Brand New Starting World! The Swamp start, along with its supporting biomes, provides a new, different mixture of resources to exploit as you nurture your fledgling colony.
- Mid-Game Rocketry! The rocket mechanics have been completely redesigned to make rocketry part of your colony's core infrastructure, rather than just an end-game goal.
- Rocket tech is easier to research and is more integrated with the rest of the tech tree.
- The surface of the starting planetoid is a lot less hostile, and new early-game tech is being added to ease the transition into space.
- Multi-Colony UI Improvements! The Diagnostics side panel and redesigned Resources screen have been expanded to manage your attention across planetoids.
In the space-colony simulation game Oxygen Not Included you’ll find that scarcities of oxygen, warmth and sustenance are constant threats to your colony's survival. Guide colonists through the perils of subterranean asteroid living and watch as their population grows until they're not simply surviving, but thriving...
Just make sure you don't forget to breathe.
- Build Extensive Bases and Discover What it Takes to Survive:
Everything in your space colony is under your control, from excavation and resource allocation right down to plumbing and power systems. Resources will begin depleting with your first breath, however, so be sure to dig fast if you want to live.
- It’s Mind Over Matter with Stress Simulations:
Keep the psychological impact of survival at bay with fun leisure activities, great accommodations and even better food for your colony. Duplicants each have different and potentially destructive ways of reacting to stress, so be sure to always keep them happy. Whatever the cost.
- Avoid Boiling with Thermodynamics:
Temperature control is a constant concern in space; too cold and you'll freeze, too hot and you'll fry. Keep tabs on ambient environmental temperatures and your colony's heat production to maintain a nice, cozy atmosphere for your colonists.
- Enhance Efficiency through Complex Gas and Liquid Simulations:
Create interlocking pipe systems to swiftly deliver fuel and liquid to critical areas of your base. Plan well and be rewarded as your colony transforms into an imperishable, well-oiled machine.
- Take Charge with Power Grid Simulations
Choose from a multitude of power sources including coal, hydrogen, natural gas or just plain old elbow grease. Manage power runoff, circuit overloads and meltdowns to keep your colony running smoothly.

Power Supply to batteries to transformers use heavy watt wire. Then from the transformers use conductive wire this will save you power headaches later on. I did mention those batteries would overheat but i guess you recorded a few episodes. If you put them in the vacuum of space they have nothing to "send" their heat into so they will overheat they need to be surrounded in a gas and eventually will get very hot but depending what you make them from should not overheat. Hope you and yours have a good Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Biffa, oh Biffa... 8:05 - vacuum is a thermal isolator. Anything that produces heat will fry if not cooled by anything - including when surrounded by gases. Hint: Hydrogen is the best for ground level usages. If an entire room is not an option, cool your equipment by running colder liquid on radiant pipes (for best results, including no broken pipes in transit, bring the liquid inside insulated pipes and only use radiant behind what does produce heat). For liquid, polluted water works great on early/mid game, then petroleum is the liquid of choice when you are mass producing it. 13:47 - "Toilets are working" well, they are clearly not. Either clogged on the output or ran out of clean water...

Think the issue with making a mess is an ice tile melted on the ladder path down to the base. So there now is a 2 tile gap by the door that they can’t pass by to get back in the base

You need to give them an extra downtime slot. When dinner time comes around, the commute takes them too long to get back to the base for a pee and meal ("Long Commute" warning).

WIRES II: Your solar panels weren't overloading the wires, they can *never* overload the wires. The tiny wire connected to the transformer, connected to the heavy watt wire is overloading the wires. Power Producers: *Can't* Overload. Power Consumers: *Can* Overload. Merry Xmas Mr. and Mrs. Biffa and family. cheers.

They are in a vacuum of space. There is no where for the heat to transfer between. Is why your batteries are over heating.

Do the batteries need an atmosphere to conduct the heat away? Also, the ice has melted under the door so the dupes can't get out of the cold biome due to a 2 tile gap.

You need the solar panels and batteries indoors with heat transfer plates behind them and glass ceiling. Fill it with hydrogen gas and run cold pipes behind the wall plates. This game is so old, I can't believe nobody else on this channel knows these things.

No bug. Heat transfers from one energetic happy molecule to another. Sadly in vacuum there are very few happy molecules (or sad ones either) to bump around and share the hot hot love! Perfect Vacuum in theory would be a perfect insulator.
