Some people saying making tunnels doesn't work anymore. Still works fine for me tested on July 26, 2021 ☺ Make sure your water is deep enough and your path is low enough that it will dig out the terrain under your water level ☺

YEAH like placeable "domes" over paths for "pop up" views and "tunnels" for tunnel views that although act as a prop have a bonus

Actually planet zoo is kinda un necessary

make the path 5 meters and place it, remove it and replace it with the 4 meter path and it will be a little less glitchy but its harder to get it in there

I did mine with a 7m path and its perfectly straight. Looks just like a normal path would. I also had railings on not sure if that made a difference

For a deeper tunnel you can make a regular glitch path, then lower your stairs once and use "Flatten terrain" for a smooth path

So helpful, still works as of now and I find it looks really good with 6m wide paths, just needs some patching up with rocks. great tutorial!

I just build my first tunnel and am so happy. Actually I cant belive it worked that well with your Methode. Thank you for this Tutorial!

Oh yeah! Might be a bit more challenging as I dont know how close you can build water next to a train track! I was able to build an underwater tunnel with a boat ride myself 😃 ! I would love to hear from you if its possible to do it with train tracks as well 😊

For path fixes in this situation, I usually play the first path a little bit bigger with flatten terrain, than delete, and place the slammer path on it. Provides a lot cleaner look.

but the saltwater crocodile can dive too, and its from the base game, and coming soon more non aquatic pack animals will can dive, but hippos never sorry they cant swim in the real life, at least that make this mechanic official.

16 March 2022 - it still works! You just have to fiddle around a lot with the ground level

You can fix the glitch of the kerbs going wonky, by limiting the length of your path to 2m on a 4 meters width. Go to the settings on your path (the cogwheel tab) and scroll down to the bottom. Just above show hidden barriers and path you can change the elevated length to 2m. It also works on tunnels as your path isn't build directly on the ground underneath it. The kerbs still glitch as they go up, but they keep straight at the same level, making them look like a railbar to hold on to.

If you keep "tunneling" on I find the paths to be less glitchy, maybe a helpful tip for all :D

Loved the tutorial and was excited to try it out, but it seems like it no longer works. I have tried and tried digging deeper and lowering the path more. Continuously getting obstructed by water error with the red path.

You can try using the length setting for stairs to only lower the path 0.5m instead of 4m. That might help with weird water heights

I had to smooth my edges out a ton but was able to get it to "work" on my first try. I use the term work loosely because there is no way I would put what I just made in a zoo but after some practice I believe it will look really cool!

Did this a couple months ago, worked fine. Had to redo the habitat b/c the seals didn't want to go into the water. When I tried to place the path, it turned red - and this time the water was deeper, so the path was lower than before. Did they fix this? I don't understand why it isn't working anymore...

Amazing tutorial, I do have a question, does the guests freak out when the animals swim over the tunnel or not? because they do freak out if I have a tunnel for the land animals with a path over it.

Just made the path and everything, the staff use it but the guests won't even go near the stairs to go down into it, maybe i need to place other habitats on the other side since the other side is just the gondola and a food court

Hi! I made an underwatertunnel and i put seals in the habitat. But the people are walking down the stairs and at the enterance from the tunnel they turn and walk up again... I followed all ur steps. What can i do? I don't want to remove everything :(

please how to build natural exhibit :)

I am following the directions, but I can't seem to get it right. The only time I was able to extend the path there was earth in-between the water and the pathway that I couldn't clear. I guess I made the tunnel too deep? But it would not let me do it any other way.

So, do the visiters actually walk on the path, or does the water glitch them when they go near the non water tight glass?

Nope, my advise is to build the tunnel last thing you do 😊

I have no idea how you make this look so easy!😕 I keep getting "obstructed by water volume" so I two stairs lower instead of 1 and I end up with a normal tunnel!🤬 Could it be that I have too much water? The area of water I have is pretty big. would it work better with two smaller bodies of water instead of one large one? This is starting to get extremely frustrating for me! Not your fault obviously my game just doesn't want to cooperate with me. 😭 Edit: Well making it two bodies of water instead of one large one worked! I was trying to have two habitats with the same body of water for the penguins and seals but separating the water to their own habitat seems to be working out so far! Edit Edit: Well now when I go into tegidcam cam and I'm on my underwater pathway I'm in the water and not in the air part. I'm afraid of going any lower...

I tried to do it today, but couldn't do it. I had like an 8meters deep water exhibit, did exactly as you showed it, but as soon as I wanted to place the path and connect it, it got blocked by the water. :-( I tried several times...did it get fixed with the last update?

I was having this problem and realized you can't have anything deeper than the path

Doesn't work for me. Maybe I've worked on this particular section too much. I started a fresh section and it worked fine and now it isn't working. :(

Haha no, unfortunatly you have to live with this, or go a tiny tad lower with your path so its not that obvious ☺ I really hope we will get proper tunnels one day without this weird water being on your paths lol☺

I do every step rigth, but when I place the water and try to do the umderwater path, it doesnt show up on the water. The fun fact is that, when i try without the water, it works

You obviously have to connect your paths to your path ways, but yes, guests can walk through your tunnels ☺

I did this build a while ago and wanted to test it out again bc I wanted to help a friend with their zoo. but somehow the path will always be underneath the water. If anyone has Ideas how to fix that, that would be nice. As I have attempted it multiple times now and it just doesn't work anymore :( Still a great tutorial tho

DLC is term for downloadable content.. you have free and paid DLCs and the aquatic pack is a paid DLC and the free update is a free DLC actually 😊

Best thing to do is add the tunnel once you are dont with everything else of your habitat 😊 You may be able to fix it by lowering the path 1 or 2m 😊 so you dont have that issue anymore 😊

Cant confirm or deny this as I havnt played console edition myself.. I can say that there have been several people over the years playing on PC claiming this didnt work (anymore either) but yet they were doing it wrong as its still working on PC until this day.. 🙈 And I honestly very much doubt Frontier would have changed this to not work on the console edition 😊

I was able to get it to work on the PS5. Though, i did it a smidge different: I built the water area first, added the water, then started my path outside the water area, went down one level and went under the water area.

I have a problem on underwater feeder. Its accessible but no food is coming out. 😢
