Use a Stanley knife to cut the tongue off one side of the cladding panels, then glue the bit into the groove on the other side.

We found the cabinet video! Like the idea of using cladding, which might make it easier for us to handle. Thanks Mel 😍🚚🔨🪛

Wood glue when screwing one piece of wood to another will add huge amounts of strength Mel.

Mel, have you seen those springs they use to keep the cupboard doors open? They're just about 6 - 7 inches long, screw at each end and just bend to close and keep the doors closed shut. Simples! 👍

It's shaping up nice! I like the overhead cabinet! Come spring I have a slab of black walnut with a living edge with a nice nautical looking finials to go up as a shelf above my galley area, need something to help hold my crap in place lol. cheers!

Great vid Mel ......I would have hinged a square fold out mirror on the end panel of the cupboard ...it would have been in right place and saved you altering your cupboard doors :D

Thank you I used dark oak wood stain and then indoor mat varnish i have to admit it does look better on camera than in real life 👍🤓👍

From B&Q T18 x W70 x L2400mm I used this size though out my van cupboard frames bed slats extra hope this helps

Im going to need the look lol.... it was an ambulance for dead or dieing people.... its a nice van but I've gotta get my head around an acetech added computer and the back is insulated, fibre glassed with grp... , im wanting to build on whats already in place but can't scale anything for fixings as all the ribs are completely covered in grp ect

Great job, Mel. This is what it's all about. A little bit of simplicity, design and creative planning :) You don't need a whole wood shop complete with every tool in the business to make a useful van, that looks half decent and who is going to serve You with a lot of pleasures for years to come. I must admit though that I am following them too, just because I am impressed with their capabilities and there is always some tricks to pick up there too - even for us with just hand tools :)

Mel what screws would you suggest to use when adding batons to the metal ? Do they need to be heavy duty for when your later on adding cupboards etc ? Cheers
