Joey, I have a recommendation for you. I have seen your DIY aquarium background video. That looks like a time consuming and tedious process. I saw a video using expanding insulation foam and sand that appears to be a much faster, cleaner process and it gave an amazing result (albeit not as controlled for things like your underwater waterfall). If you could do your take on this build, I would be appreciative, because you always do amazing explanations with the highest production value of the aquarium market videos I watch.

hi, what a good info. i plan to make a 800 gallon freshwater aquarium and I'm bit confused in choosing the best sum for it. in your opinion which type of sumps will be better to use it and gives me a great result? I'm thinking to build either wet dry or k1 fluidise filter. which one do you advice? keep in consideration that my tank will be made from concrete with only front glass panel and the stand will be made from concrete as well. my tank measurements are 350 cm long, 100 cm high and 80 cm wide.

Did you use any other forms of glue after the weld-on 4 ? I work in a sign shop where we make a lot of acrylic signage of all types (2d and 3d letters, molded, vacuum formed, cnc cut and just general box types) and we use the methelyene chloride for the initial bond and then use a product from acri-fix for the structural bonds. I am just curious if the extra step of using acri-fix is required.

Hey Joey, you did a video a while back about breeding and selling discus and I was wondering where you went to sell them? Did you just put them on ebay or was it somewhere else? I only ask because my angelfish laid eggs and about 90% of them hatched (all doing very well by the way.) and I need to know where I can sell them so my tank does not get over populated. Also I live in Michigan (U.S.) if that makes a difference, the only fish store around here is a feed n seed and I have not been able to get any answer so far as to if they will buy them or not. Any advice you can give is very much appreciated.

have you ever used a router to cut dovetails into the acrylic sheets? it would make everything stronger and give you a physical bond on top of the chemical bond of the glue. i want to build my own aquarium some day and i had the though. seems like it would work just so long as you took your time with the router so it does not melt the plastic.
