How to build an Ultra Realistic River - Realistic Scenery Vol.13

Ойын-сауық

A complete in depth guide into building an amazing river scene that will drastically improve the detail on any model layout.
Adding a scene like this to your model railway layout will grab the attention of anyone who sees it! The model is HO scale but the tips and techniques used in the video can be applied to nearly any other scale you model in.
I’m using a relatively new product called ‘Deep Pour Water’ from Woodland Scenics to add the water on this model, it’s basically a two part epoxy however it is pre colored which makes building modules with adjoining river pieces will be much easier to match the color.
I purchased it from www.hobbytechtoys.com.au in Perth, Australia and even though they are literally on the other side of the country they were very quick in getting my order posted and the service was great! They have a huge store and it’s well worth having a browse as they stock many items that are often hard to find at other hobby stores.
For more photos of this model check out www.bouldercreekrailroad.com and visit the photo gallery.
Also don’t forget to check out Kathy Millatt and her KZread channel, it jam packed full of great video tutorials on a huge variety of modelling topics.

my man, youtube's about breaking plates and disrespecting entire cultures in your daily vlog to then point out the few good things you've done in a diss track in hopes of the entire platform either forgiving you or forgetting about it in the other bullshit you've done since then. nevermind it's about fighting other youtubers while making everyone pay to even watch the fight

Do I know anything at all in real life about model making? Nope Am I a total snob during these videos, saying things like, "Oh, well of course, I would have done the same," or "What a brilliant idea, I'll have to keep that in mind," or "Of course he used that technique, I've seen it before, what a classic" Obviously

Smugglers Cove model scenery layout by Geoff Nott Mike Flack has some of the model best water I have seen. The river craft are also totally top notch. The trick with the 2 part resins is to go a step above in the source chain for a better deal. That stuff is deadly expensive at the best of times. There is another single part silicon way to do water thats very cheap. A sort of Hillbilly Bunnings method.

Hi, I have a suggestion. You should refer paintings of great painters like Vincent Van Gogh and should try to create those paintings through your art work since you excel in it. Few examples you can work on are Vincent van Gogh's 01. The Red Vineyard (1888) 02. The Sower (1888) 03. View of Arles, Flowering Orchards (1889) 04. Painter on the Road to Tarascon (1888) 05. Starry Night Over the Rhone (1888). Btwn love watching your videos.

Another awesome diorama Luke, the river looks so good that I don't know if I should grab my togs or my fishing gear... _{Spots the croc}_ Forget the togs, I'm not swimming there 😀 I love all the great little details in there, the croc, the trolley, the ewok under the tree, and hey is that Marty from BTTF? And I really love those roots, really brings the scene to life 👍 Top job (as always) 👌👍

Since you've got Marty in there, I think you should think of calling the diorama 'Clayton Ravine' 😉 _{Marty: They say Clayton ravine was named after a teacher, they say she fell in there a hundred years ago. Every kid in school knows the story 'cause we all have teachers we'd like to see fall into the ravine.}_

hey Luke, great video as always. I am currently building my own layout. seen as you are a source of inspiration for me and some of your first videos are of you creating your layout, i was hoping that (if it is still intact.) you could maybe make a video about how your layout ended up looking like. BTW i am also a fellow Aussie and a you-tuber. (Although i haven't uploaded any videos or content as of yet.) Again, great video and diorama. Regards, GWR 64 Pannier
