How to build a TURBOJET ENGINE
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
So this is the first in my trilogy of videos about building a TURBOJET engine from scrap.
This video is me building the jet then next video i'll take you through the simple maths and it is simple.

Feeling quite nostalgic watching this again after many years, me and my buddy successfully made a working turbojet thanks to this video, it’s still in the shed somewhere, the bearings in the turbo have seen better days😂 love it 👌 FLAAAAME TUUUBE!!

alright, you've made a turbojet. now, take it up a notch, and cobble together a turbo-ramjet, like what the old SR-71 Blackbird had. I, a nobody as far as KZread is concerned, challenge you to do it.

mas cade o video dela funcionando
Love all of your crazy stuff. Wish I had time (and the workshop) to do this stuff. Here is a suggestion to "Turbocharge" Your "Turbojet" with a steam "AFTERBURNER" instead of all that expensive fuel. See instructions below. 1... weld a simple tube jacket around your thrust tube with two openings. One for filling with water - the other is a tube about one mm diameter that leads steam from the jacket to a point blowing directly onto your "HOT" turbine. This will cool the turbine and also create more expansion from this point back out the thruster tube. It could be configured as a Pumped boiler or the way I describe it is a "Batch System" that will run like your normal turbojet until the boiler starts boiling at which point it will be a "HYPER STEAM SPEWING TURBO EXPLOSION JET" engine. You might want to add another larger steam line controlled by a safety release valve so that WHEN the boiler overheats, the excess steam will release onto your hot turbine driving the system even more powerfully. This is really a better idea for a turboSHAFT configuration because I think the steam will increase torque more than thrust. Who knows ????
First time I've watched one of your videos and I cant believe with over 4 million views and subs you don't have every tool company sending you the newest tools. Amazing stuff, I will be watching some others for sure.

This is probably one of the best DIY videos of all time on youtube. Fabrication of turbojet using a drill press with drill bits, handheld drill with hole saw, angle grinder for cutting/grinding and sheet metal forming in a vice. If this isn't apex DIY on a budget I don't know what is. Wonder how much work it would be to convert this to a turbofan, turboprop or turboshaft for broader application life (turboshaft-electric hybrid tractor? ;-) )

the 4 major parts of the anatomy of a jet turbine (from front to back) are the compressor, the combustor, the turbines (internal, just before the exhaust cone), and the exhaust cone/nozzle. I would consider it unwise to make anything beyond the compressor out of aluminum soda cans or thin food cans. I myself would recommend decently thick stainless steel, and would recommend titanium for the turbines and exhaust cone, as it is those 2 parts which undoubtedly takes the brunt of the heat of the engine.
