For the first design, instead of using a chest minecart, you can position a chest boat in the center on top for a cheaper result.
Hey Eye great vid mate keep it up I wasn't expecting a video so fast keep it up!
I really like the large smelter design because it is so much more compact. Other designs I've seen utilize a large, long space, which I don't particularly like. Definitely using this. Thanks Eye!

Thanks So much I needed a super smelter in my world also you just earned a new sub :)
I just built this and it works fantastically. I have been looking for an auto-smelter that will take lava buckets and could only find really complex set-ups. What you have designed, however, is very simple and picks up the empty buckets easily. It also has a small footprint, is relatively cheap to build, smelts very quickly and only took me 5 minutes to build. Thank you so much for this excellent tutorial. :D

Wow, you have me so excited to build one now! I might even expand it to 32 furnaces 🤣
Its so helpful, tq
I have a bunch of auto farms, so I would direct their output line to some sorters to pull out the items I want to smelt/cook, then feed the output to the farm stream on the other side of the sorters to go to my main storage. My fuel of choice is charcoal since by cooking my tree farm's output the super-smelter quickly becomes self-fueling. That's because I get 8 charcoal out for every 1 charcoal burned (with no need to craft bamboo planks, although 1.21's new crafter block would change that). Feeding the output charcoal back into the farm's fuel line means it's constantly full and the charcoal that doesn't fit continues on to storage.

I am currently setting up an auto kelp farm to supply my auto smelter. I have a question though, how am I supposed to prevent my main storage supply from overflowing if it reaches maximum capacity?
@MichaelPiz
2 ай бұрын
@@gavinferguson2938 What kind of sorters are you using? There's usually a way to catch overflow at each sort point. Alternatively, you can just let it fill up so that it won't accept more items and have an overflow catch-all at the end that drops the extra items into lava or something.
I recently returned to minecrafy after so many years (8 years+). your videos have been a godsend ty 👍
I feel like this would be very useful in multiplayer when you have many players mining and smelting! Ngl for single player a normal smelting setup is usually good.
Finally making more vids😂
thank you for sharing
4:34 @Eyecraftmc This is actually incorrect. I was able to make 4 more smelters using your design with less than 48 hoppers (I'm on bedrock). The smallest I was able to make was with only 6. You have to start placing the rails further out before you places the ones that are next to each other, also you have to start with the bottom track first before placing the top track for it to work. It took me a little trial and error. Great video, thanks for the design, keep it up.
4:10 pull the ladder kronk/ WRONG LADDER Love your vids
If you are struggling to place the rails on the lower track for the bigger auto smelter, just place the regular rail first, 1 block ahead, then place the powered rail that way the powered rail connects to the regular rail on the lower track not the powered rail on the top track. This issue could arise at 7:04. Hope this is useful to at least someone!

I use bamboo as my fuel source with bows as a back up. Built my base underneath a skeleton spawner. So i get all the bone meal, bows, and xp i could ever want. My auto bamboo farm feeds right into my auto smelter too

Very nice 👍
I like your skin as well as all the smelters
Would be awesome if there was a good way to connect the bamboo farm to this design for auto fuel feeding!
Gj on the video
This is almost exactly what I’m looking for. There’s a few ways I would upgrade this, however the “upgrades” are definitely going to make the smelter more expensive. 1. Is there any way to use hopper minecarts instead of chests minecarts? I want to make the smelter look good in my house, and keeping the input, fuel, and output all as chests would make it look great and consistent. 2. Is there any way to attach a farm to this for fuel? Such as a super efficient bamboo farm, so you no longer even need to put any fuel into the furnaces. 3. If using hopper minecarts is possible, is it possible to make it so the hopper minecarts are stationary until you put items into the smelter? This would only make the minecarts move when they’re either full, or have emptied the chest. After that, how would you make them stop moving after they have unloaded every item from their inventory? The purpose of this is to reduce the constant noise of the minecarts. Essentially, I want a system that is quiet, and requires no input from the player other than inputting the item they want to smelt into a chest. Do you know of any smelters like this or direct me to a video that has something similar? I’m struggling to make one on my own as I’ve just recently gotten back into Minecraft and my redstone skills are a bit rusty. This video is great as a distribution system, but not fully automated. Bonus question: Typically I won’t need more than 8 furnaces. 16 is definitely more efficient, and if you have an infinite fuel source, using 16 furnaces might just be the better way to go regardless. However, is it better to use normal hoppers and redstone for 8 furnaces, or would you recommend still using minecarts with a hopper / chest? Thanks again in advance to anyone who can help, I realy appreciate it!
Im wondering if there would be any way to have a kelp farm feeding into this once the autocrafter comes out to turn dry kelp into kelp blocks automatically
For the second auto smelter, would it still work well if we only build with one row of furnaces?
Your voice is my everything
oh goodie
U are amazing
Can I make a suggestion for making the tutorials? Replace the ground below the build site with a checkerboard of coloured wool, so we can see the size of the build before starting, and the location of the first placed blocks so we can fit it into tight spaces more easily Eg: this build is within 12x4 blocks, so checkerboard a 12x4 area before placing the first chests

Just a little tip, for the micro smelter you don't need a whole redstone block. A redstone torch or even a lever works just fine and is a lot cheaper.
I always build my super smelters with lava buckets (with a nearby large dripstone lava farm) so that I can attach an obsidian farm to the end of the fuel line.
This account is life saving
This is a great design and I love the video but my powered rails keep connecting to each other at the end of the tracks, is there a way to stop this?
yessir
I made this with 32 blast furnaces and it is utterly insane. Multiple stacks a minute
Ï have a problem with the second design. I have a blaze farm in my world so I use blaze rods for fuel but when I come back to my base and put for example 40 blaze rods in the minecart since there's 16 furnaces the first half of the furnaces get 3 and the other only get 2 and it becomes very uneven after a while. is there any way to prevent this?
With a micro smelter, if I want XP, will it be enough for me to place a lever on each furnance?
Just made an auto smelter that used 17 buckets of lava over night smelting 1500 cactus using only 2 furnaces 6 chests and 6 hoppers. Totally worth it.
I was wonder can you show a tree auto farm for bedrock or java ?
I know it's not very convenient because it doesn't refuel itself, but I really, really liked the first design.
can you use lava buckets as fuel in this?
Why not use a chest boat instead of a chest cart for the 8 furnace variant? Silent and much cheaper. I do like your 16 furnace variant though, might try it out and also see if it can scale to even more furnaces. :)
This is exactly something I need... what do you do differently if you change the fuel to buckets of lava?
@prismhelm
2 ай бұрын
I don't think you'd have to change much since the empty buckets get ejected with the smelting output and end up in the large chest
If you want an infinite fuel source build this super close to either your bamboo, lava, blaze or wither skeleton farms and use hoppers to input the fuel for you
@MichaelPiz

Or logs into charcoal from a tree farm. See my other comment.
Easy fuel, Kelp! Use an xp kelp farm
How does this work first of all I did place the hoppers the correct way but it won't go to the chest I did this on my Nintendo switch
For some reasons rails make no sense in bedrock but I managed to do some magic and get the design correct
u can use a redstone torch instead right?

Pay close attention to the order in which he places the rails as well as what side of the blocks he is placing the hoppers on. They have to be places in exactly the same way he demonstrates for them to work properly.

Extend the end of the top set of rails by 1 block, then place the rails for the bottom set. After that, you can break the extra block for the top set of rails. And they will not connect

Just build it on my realm. Thx.
Its so expensive but cool
Can someone please help I cant get the rails on the bigger one to connect properly, I have tried rotating furnaces, placing the rails in a specific order and it still wont work HELP (Im on bedrock)
I tried making this farm on Minecraft Java edition and my minecarts with chest do not move or start with the lever. How do I fix that?

Fun fact: You need to smelt iron to make a more efficient smelter. (as shown in the video) That's *i r o n i c*
How can you harvest the xp from these?
@VVS_Solar.Flare0417
2 ай бұрын
Break the furnaces after a while the xp will drop. Just replace the furnaces and start over. Another thing you can do is put levers on the side of the hoppers and when you’ve smelted a ton of blocks, when you have a stack or so left waiting to smelt, flick all the levers on the hoppers and this will lock them. The final few items will stay in the furnaces, and when they’re done just manually pick them up and you’ll get all the xp from the whole batch. When you’re done flip all the levers back so the hoppers unlock and next time you need to use it the items will flow into the chest once again, and you can repeat the cycle.
Great video! I would love to see an auto smelter that doesn't use minecarts. I'm not a fan of how noisy they are.
