    For the studs going against a plasterboard wall and plasterboard ceiling would I use the regular wood screws or for those studs I would need plasterboard specific screws? Thanks, nice and simple video

    So screw the ceiling beam anywhere along the wood or does it have to go into the wooden slats in the ceiling?

  • @bandq

    @bandq

    The ceiling support beam can be drilled into the flooring in any sequence as the vertical studs don't required to be screwed in. We hope this helps 😊

    I have cork board floor tiles - could I drill straight into them?

  • @bandq

    @bandq

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi there, if they are cork composite makeup with a plastic film (possibly with ceramic layers) it will likely be OK, but if it’s a cheaply made glued cork we would suggest against drilling into it. I hope this helps!

    Hi, there 👋 You'd require a tile drill point. They cut cleanlyy through ceramics, porcelain and natural stone whilst minimising the risk of damage to these delicate materials 😊 You can view these on the following link: bit.ly/3EyjwuC 🛠

    @@Apocalypse_666 you can use a magnetic to find the screws which will be in the joist otherwise I think it's not essential to fix the top plate as it should be pinched in with a very tight fit and attached to each stud so has a fair amount of support

    Excellent, what size wood did you use? It says 89 x 38, what about the width? Note for me: Calculate lengths of base and ceiling plate with chalked lines. Ensure plumb. Cut ceiling and base plate, Stack base and ceiling plate on floor to measure the vertical studs. Secure base plate. Mark centre of base plate. Mark placement of vertical studs from there. Dry fit the ceiling plate and vertical studs in place. Ensure plumb. Secure vertical studs at 45 degree angle. Secure ceiling plate. Mark noggins every 1200 mm Secure noggins at alternate heights, 45 degree angle. Drywall scews 32 mm 3 inch wood screews (7.6 cm)
