How to Build a Shed Ramp | DIY Home Improvement
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this episode I show you how to build a ramp for a shed. This is a project that has been needed for long time now. This project took only a few hours and it can easily be accomplished on a weekend. This shed ramp is designed for smaller equipment being brought in and out of the shed, but can easily be adjusted and bulked up to be used by a riding mower. #workshopshed #diybackyard #homeimprovement

I think I can speak for quite a few people when I say, your video looked nice and I did enjoy watching. Did I learn anything? Nope. How did you determine the angles? How did you determine the length? How did you attach it to the shed? Sort of lost as to the actual process. Sorry

I love the video but I completely agree with this comment. Digging holes and filling with rocks? Yeah I got that. Determining the angles for the ground contact and the ledger end? That is where I struggle.
Thank you for this video. I am finally getting around to building the ramp for my shed tomorrow!! I will be adding support blocks in between for added strength, since I will be driving my nearly 1k lb motorcycle into the shed!

That’s great! Hope you don’t have to take out a loan for the lumber with the prices being so high lol
Hey man I just put up the same shed lol but anyways. Making a material list. How many 1x6 or 2x8? ( it looks like) did u go threw. And looks like 2 or 3 2x4s. Thank you very much.
Nice vidio quality but I learned nothing. I know how to measure and cut 2 x 4s. It would be nice to know how you attched the ramp, joist hangers or lag bolts. I used both.
Nice looking shed and ramp. Fyi, the link to the build article led to a page with just one paragraph, and no information. I do like videos accompanied by build articles, but some explanation in the video would have helped. And the build article appears to be missing. Why put gravel beneath the pavers? Drainage? Does it actually help? What was the black sheeting beneath the ramp? Why? Why place gravel beneath the ramp?
What was the spacing on your support beams? Like 3 feet? Might have been better to put an extra support beam in there. Typical spacing is between 16-24 inches. You can see the ramp sag when you walked on in as well as sat on it in the end of the video. Good job tho on putting together a clean and simple video! Cheers.
For a novice, no explanations of what you were doing and why made it harder for me to understand. Great looking ramp though
do u have the plans for this? what angle did you use? i have the same shed iim about a couple inches higher though.
What size are those planks? Is good to use all 2x6x8 if I want?

I used 2x4x8 for the framing only because no one had 2x6x8 boards in stock. I have since upgraded to 2x6 for the framing. The decking is 5/4 decking material from my local home center.
Weather treat wood?

Hi How much should this project cost
@TwoBitWoodworks

It really depends on the cost of lumber in your area.
Why don't you mention what your doing, I learned nothing from it !

Did you read the accompanying build article?

The video is a walkthrough of the steps not necessarily an instructional course on the project. Did you happen to read the build article on my website?
Waste of time of video if no explanation! Thumbs DOWN!
Don't watch this 1, no info at all and he has to read a script for closing comments!
