How to build a Pelican Bass Raider dolly

It’s very easy to build your own Pelican Bass Raider dolly. You’ll need a 2x6x8 board, (2) 10” wheels with rigid casters, (2) screw eye bolts 3 7/8”, (8) lag screws 3/8 x 1 1/2”, and (8) washers. I got my wheels from Harbor Freight Tools and the remainder of the items at Lowes Hardware. Total cost was approximately $60 and took about 1 hour. #pelican #bassraider #cart #dolly #pondprowler

Great idea... I have a classic accessories Colorado inflatable pontoon boat.... Was going to try to have something fabricated with metal but think I'm going to use your idea ... Thanks for video

Place the dolly more toward the center and it will be even easier to work with.

I noticed he cut out the hard part, which is getting the dolly under the boat and getting the strap on it, lol

Any chance you can share how you get the boat on the dolly. Made one and I’m struggling!

Do you think this would work for pond hoping? Dragging through caribou moss?

My harbor freight only had the swivel cast wheels. You think they will work as well? Or wait until they get the rigid cast? Thx

Get the rigid. I tried the swivel casters and they were awful, the wheels were rarely in synch on gravel or rough surfaces. Bought the rigid wheels and it they work great!!

I used them but put them in a fixed position by installing a screw.

Nice concept but without something holding the 2x4 off the ground looks like the weight of the boat would cause it to flip over with the wheels pointing up
