Ойын-сауық

Join Dan and I as we build our beautiful @tojagrid pergola that was sent to Megan and I from their team! Here we show every step of the way so you fee comfortable with your build. Since it was just us two, we had to modify how to lift this heavy structure with the use of safe temporary supports. Thanks for watching and make sure to smash that subscribe button!
Big thank you to @tojagrid for helping us achieve one of our dream projects

Great video! I’m a complete noob at wood or anything like this, so excuse my question if it is too dumb: Do you have to deal with moisture trapped in the brackets that could rot the wood overtime?

  • @joshallen_builds

Not a dumb question at all! The bracket actually have a lip that keeps the post off of the concrete to create an air gap. Not concern for rot.

@@joshallen_builds thanks! I’m talking about the brackets at the top, especially the horizontal parts where the 6x6s are inserted. The bracket in that part has holes and I don’t see any gaps between the wood and the bracket itself.

Did you have to do any more modification to the 6x6's to achieve a pitched roof with brackets that seem to be square?
