Thanks for sharing. I just recently heard of toja grid and have been looking into the different options available. I’m wanting to build something thing like this but with a flat top. Still trying to figure out what I want. I want to get a hot tub and a dry sauna and have one of these to cover it. But I also want to be able to see the stars at night so I’m thinking about getting the flat top one and using some sort of canvas so I can pull it back.

Love that idea! I think you will be super happy with it if you go with Toja Grid. Lot of options!
Question on the screws used: do you need 2 screws on all four side or is it on three sides? Thinking of instead using Simpson outdoor accent exterior screws...3.5"...and using 2 on opposing sides...thoughts? Is that sufficient... Great video and nice pergola...mine will be open and 2 sections of 12' x 12'

I did 2 on all 4 sides, but to be honest the brackets are so solid and bear the load, you would be fine. Should turn out awesome for ya!
How did you secure the footings to the cement?

Tapcons! We have had crazy wind this year so I'm glad we did it, probably not necessary but why not.

These are CedarTone 6x6s (prestained and treated). We have Menards here in Midwest so if you're in that area, check it out!
Is 12x12 the biggest you can go with these without adding more sections?

I think 12x12 is the biggest you can do for one section. You could always add more though and connect them I would assume
Wow nice is that 8’ tall for the leg post ??

@@hurstyoutdoors very nice
Could you have done it without the excavator and cat? How tall are the posts that are in the ground - 8 ft?

Hey thanks for watching! The posts are 8ft even, and you could definitely do it without the equipment but it'll take quite a few people to provide the muscle and leverage, but totally doable. Once it's assembled and up though, it ain't going no where 💪
Did the wood shrink a lot I know when I tested the wood at the store I was loose fitting

I had the opposite problem! Even letting the wood dry for a few months it was still swelled up, which is why I had to break out the mallet! All good now
Dispo en France ???

I don't know for sure, they are based out of Canada, I would assume they can ship worldwide.
