[TUTORIAL - The solar cooker 🌞 ]
During the Nomade des Mers expedition, the crew made a stopover in New York where they were blown away by the many benefits of solar cooking! In addition to being economical, it's healthier than other cooking methods and of course... is totally ecological! A method that is widespread in some tropical countries but that would benefit from spreading across the globe! From the Big Apple, Solar Cookers International (SCI) has been working for years to promote, research and provide resources for the diffusion of solar cooking in the world.
Once back on the Nomade des mers, Corentin, Caroline and Guénolé tasted the pleasure of solar cooking and the variety of small dishes cooked quickly!

This is one of the most valuable videos on the subject I have seen so far! Low green tech ist the best! The mushroom insulation idea is very original yet sustainable. I wonder how did you come up with it? Double glasing is very important to reduce further heat loss.

bonjour, peut on faire cuire à travers une vitre ? ( je n'ai pas de jardin, balcon ) et ma vue principale est sur un parking avec route donc éviter de les illuminer^^ Comment faire ? J'ai une fenêtre plus haut bien exposé mais c'est ma chambre :p

Why we can't add solar trackers
Nice cooker, but you're wasting a lot of usable surface. By shaping the inner box like a rectangular funnel you can use all the sunlight hitting the cooker. Insulate with rock wool

On peut par exemple combiner avec un four/cuisinière à bois ou à gaz et les journées ensoleillées utiliser le solaire. Cela représente déjà une économie d'énergie. Mais on est bien d'accord que certains pays/environnements sont plus propices à l'utilisation continue d'un four solaire.

I came off gas for a bit after smelling the gas stove then ate a couple cooked things and the gas smell from the kitchen came back it's so nauseating 😮
