Why was the plywood for the sides only 8' x 17 1/2" instead of 8' x 18" if the box is 18" tall?

The plywood on top is going over the side pieces and is half inch thick so it adds to 18 inches

were you making that box for oss? or did you just put that on there?

it will be a hop in hop out ramp on one side and if i flip it over it will be a grind box.. i might post a vid of it when i build it ill keep you posted
