    Great tutorial! I would use some gloves or caulking tools for the sealent, tho. Acetone absorbs right into your body.

    You didn’t angle the bottom to allow for water runoff?

    Looks good! How do you prevent somebody from driving a drywall anchor in the shower niche from the opposing room? Seems like that could be a recipe for disaster if somebody were to try and hang a picture using a 1.5 inch or greater anchor or screw.

    Not being a smart aleck, but I’d say it’s really up to the person hanging the picture to know what’s on the back side of the wall.

    For sure. Issue is when the house is a rental, generally renters don’t have that kind of aptitude or forethought.

    What type of tile is best for showers floors? Stone, porcelain, so many options.

    I like a nice porcelain mosaic tile we tend to steer away from natural stone tiles due to moisture absorption and discoloring

    I assume that you're mitering your edges? If you were using a profile (i.e. Jolly), you would want your niche sill tile to sit above your "finish line", right?

    What is the spacing you used on those subway tiles next to the niche wall

  • @ThatTileChick

    @ThatTileChick

    2 ай бұрын

    Pretty sure it was 1/16 spacing but because the tile had imperfect edges some grout joints were wider than others. We also had to use wedges to accommodate for the irregularities in the tile
