The Chocolate One I’m perfectly aware of that - the quote I stated above is pretty much a meme because Bryce pretty much says it once every Friday either in a FCF vid or a livestream. Frick I just ruined the joke by having to explain it.

I think its amazing to see how far the knowledge and skill have changed in the fitness community over the years. we are truly past the time of GymShark 1 rep max's and into a time of percission and long term goals.

Personal suggestion (it may or may not help). I was stuck at 185kg for a year then started doing heavy farmers carries and suite case carries. Strengthened up the core and grip and now the numbers are climbing again 👌.

There is really no specific percentage, just try to get your numbers as high as possible in a healthy manner without rushing it. I'm 16, 74kgs with a 115 squat 72.5 bench 155 deadlift. Also depends on your age and how much you weigh, your age, etc.. Since it's easier to PR monthly as a teen but then the more you progress over time the harder it gets (we all know that)

  • @fazori

@Audairevonetta yeh this. basically, invest in a program. a max out 3 rep PR you pull that has you off for 3 days will basically create no long term value or increase in 1RM.

I completely disagree with the phone thing. If I have a 5 mintue break and I spend 6 minutes on the phone that's a mistake because I'm letting myself become undisciplined but if I have 5 and I spend 4 I can easily get back in the headspace np. Sometimes my brain is reeling about ever little detail so much it's actually beneficial for me to relax a little.

There's a video of thor, eddie, and larry eating ice cream. Are they successful athletes? And you're flat out wrong about athletes using their phones sorry. Even before smart phones I knew baseball players would call home in the middle of a game to talk to their wife or mom to get their head straight. But as a body builder you can't send a text between reps? Lol im trying to start a business. I don't have extra time to stand around thinking about the weights.

Did you listen to what he said? It takes hard work and consistency mixed with a smart approach to reach YOUR limit wether or not you are natural. I know two natural lifters who bench press 400 lbs and pull 600 lbs, and it has come through those three "simple" steps. Of course they would be stronger on gear, but it would be relatively just as hard to reach their geared limit. And you should take advice from any lifter who is close to their limit because they have done something that works.
