    Brian, please be careful while chalking up. If you breath this chalk in continuously lift after lift you are going to end up with lung related health issues. Just ask any reputable lung doctor and he will confirm it. Keep up the great work brother!

    Thing about it is, you can't always judge how much a guy has in the tank by the speed of the lift. There are some just really explosive guys out there who can send a deadlift up with max effort, and it looks like they could've repped it, but add five or ten more pounds and they would've failed the lift entirely. Arnold is going to be sick this year.

    @@562wiseguy why do people think Brian's not in his prime? Fans are quick to write a man off. He was injured and had planter fasciitis last year, which the only reason he had a less than average (in Brian's standards) performance. He had to bow out of events that he bangs out with ease when healthy. He's only 36, isn't shopworn and has had no major lasting injuries. He's in his prime now.

    Thanks for the videos! I am wondering about the DL technique you are using in this video. I tend to DL and have my clients DL the same way. There have been a lot of IG/KZread videos lately however about starting with the hips higher and simply making the DL more of a hinge movement. Maybe you could address your opinions about this in a different video. My opinion is that neither is wrong or right, it just depends on ones comfort level in the different techniques. Since I come from a weightlifting background, I appear to be more comfortable starting with my hips lower, like yours in the video. Best of luck in your upcoming contests.

  • @ExternusArmy

    @ExternusArmy

    5 жыл бұрын

    It has a lot to do with your limb lengths and anthropometry. If he were to deadlift with typical form, he would be doing a stiff legged deadlift. He would have to bend over nearly horizontally and it would entirely load on his back and could also cause hip injuries as well. Some people have to keep their hips way lower to have to avoid having a huge mechanical disadvantage. This is pretty unusual for someone as tall as him as they usually have longer arms than torsos, however his arms come right below his dick, which is actually pretty high up for someone his height.

He's had no major with lasting effects, isn't shopworn due to that fact, is only 36 and still in his prime he had one bad performance due to planter fasciitis. He had to bow out of events that he previously crushed and it's only because of that, that he underperformed.

    they havent given one to Thor either, and bear in mind they favor thor ahead of brian in terms of sponsorship. I think it is because elephant bar is a show gimmick and they want it to remain exclusive to arnold classic. Thor said he had a longer bar made to match the elephant bar, so no, noone has an elephant bar.

    Hey friend your form on the lifts could do with some work. You’ll be able to lift heavier and not hurt yourself in the long run! Just started watching gym youtubers and you guys need to be taught a lesson in lifting correctly and no offence Brian but I’ve seen guys at my gym lift heavier then you. For example my boy the king of lifting and defying records Bradley “BOOM BABY” Castleberry is the only who really rules lifting on the internet. Anywho hope you fix your problems and you might achieve this local meet up or whatever your training for!
