In our last HP build video for the Evo X you guys told us that 500whp was a rookie number. So, we wanted to come back to show you how to make the jam! This is only ONE way to get there, and obviously, there are many little intricate parts needed to get the job done. BUT! This should give you a general outline.

    Video was good, however you said these cars are tuned using Evoscan... Thats not true, they are tuned using Ecuflash, and logged using Evoscan.

    Have everything except the turbo and suspension mods. Big thanks to MAP for the fully built motor and supportive customer service. I'm like a kid on Christmas waiting for the installation of everything and tuning. With labor and everything I've spent about 15k 😁🙏. Also side note fellas patience is a key factor when you're doing this process. Keep calm, drive safe and most of all do your best to keep it on the track.

    2015 evox GSR. 2.2L stroker, Garrett g30 770 turbo, ETS v-band single scroll manifold / downpipe, e85, FIC 2150CC , horsepower logic tune. …. Plenty of maperformance parts. 600wph (mustang dyno) on low boost (33psi). Gunna turn it up to 40psi after I change the wastegate springs.

    That’s actually spot on! I have a built 2.2 ets 6466 turbo kit radium fuel system and shep trans with an exedy triple and I make over 800whp

    @@activeej8858 I had probably 35k into the build roughly. Also depends what exact parts you end up using. I spared no expense on my personal build which I’d probably say maybe was closer to 40k all said and done

    @@anthonyturk2890 how is driving the triple disc? I have a quarter master twin disc clutch pushing around 830whp and I don’t like the clutch at all

    @@julianrivera6820 honestly it’s amazing. I didn’t have any experience driving a high horsepower car before that evo and honestly never stalled once had very easy pedal feel

    Great video. I make 650hp 450tq on a mustang dyno with a gtx3576r. Gsc s2 cam, valve spring. Sleeve block, 1650 fic 525 walbo, Mivc delete on the exhaust side. Act hdss clutch, map 3.5 intake. The one thing i hate the most is the heat soak.

    @@evoguy23 i just got the maps heat shield and I cerakote my maps exhaust manifold. To bad they don't sell a exhaust manifold heat shield.

    All you need to do is build the head and keep the bottom block stock. Build the internals for it.

    I have 2.2 litre 750whp evo x . I went the surge tank route with 2000cc I'd injectors. I used a full race 8474 kit .

    I have an 8374 making 500 on the stock block. I am trying to decide to build the motor myself or just buy from a builder. Where did you get your motor built? How is the 2.2 and how is the spool, does it make much of a difference over the 2L?

    I'm still stock block with my X. ETS Intake, ETS Upper and Lower IC piping, ETS Extreme Catback, ETS Test pipe, Cobb EBCS, ID1300's, and an AEM 320 fuel pump. Stock turbo converted to a 20G(billet wheel, bigger housing, etc) stock hotside though. Dual map on pump 91 and E85. I only run E85! Waste gate won't let me go past 26 pounds right now. I plan on upgrading that soon. Currently at a conservative 383whp 373wtq. Stock clutch with 80k miles on it 😎

    I was at 400awkw with full bolt ons until the timing chain failed, I'm just waiting to get her back after an engine rebuild and new rotating assembly: manley h beam rods, CP pistons, new turbo... can't wait.

    I upgraded my fuel pump but only staying at 500whp so I know the fuel rail isn’t needed but is the fuel pump regulator still needed? Is it usable without having the fuel rail?

    Yes. Just make sure you get a good core. Some cool better than others. With air bigger isn't better. If you throw a drag manifold for example you can cause lag.

    I made 602whp on my 3576 gen 2 set up. I'm itching for more since my engine can take the power. Fully built 2.0. Expect to spend atleast 20k if you're not doing any of the work, very expensive.

    602? Thats it? Is that E85? How much psi? That turbo is rated for over 700, on a fully built engine pushing the psi it should be more🤔

    @@cubansoldier2098 it was a stock frame turbo I bought before I decided to go balls deep on the build lol. I just bought a Full Race efr kit and going for power this time around.

    Been looking into it myself the high end seems to be about 450ftlbs of torque but there is a company called SSP that will do a stage 3 upgrade and full rebuild/refresh for you for around $3000 and will handle 600+ftlbs

    So o got a fully built motor .. GSC cams spring retainers pistons arp head studs.. ets intake and intercooler .. down pipe , twin disc clutch , turbo back exhaust , e85 fuel system .. 450 pump .. fuel rail .. tune .. Fp18k turbo .. exhaust manifold .. I’m pushing 390 pump 430 on e.. I see you guys 500 hp on a stock block I’m heavily modified and I’m 100 hp away from that… What issue am I having is it the turbo that’s too small?

    I’ve heard the T3/T4 turbo kit will get you close to that, with some supporting mods I’m sure it’s doable on pump gas, I wasn’t so sure before but I’ve heard it can be done.

    Yes, I have 521whp and 455 torque on 93, but everything is built with Map stroker 2.4 and stage 5 head.

    I used to make 706who until my 6266 blew on me for a 4th time. Im now gona try out a different brand of turbo. Im going whit a borg sx369. Hope it will last longer than the precision

    I know someone trying make his 2.0 CVT run 700HP. He already spent $15k on it, but still on the garage not running, because of some leak the mechanic couldn't figure out. He's very stoked about his "700" HP EVO. I know its pure BS since a CVT could only handle a very small fraction of what HP he wants, poor guy. Mechanic is pure BS too promising him moon and stars. I know, he dumb. What should I tell him? haha

    I would tell him what you said here, just maybe in a nicer way... A transmission swap is a drop in the bucket if he has already spent 15K on the engine. Regardless, he will find out!
