This actually helped me out a lot. I am currently working on a parts list for my christmas PC build. I am excited because it will be the first PC I have ever built. The 1000$ option seems perfect for me. The rx3700 xt is just a beast for it's price and compared to the 3060,3060ti, and even 3070 it's always the best option (to my mind ofc). Thank you, that really saved me 200 bucks at the very least!

For the first build I think I would drop the rgb cooler and use the stock one and change the ram to the silicon power one (The blue kit) and use the 20$ to get a better mobo for upgrade potential . I think it could be fine being a basic black and blue build. The 750$ seems pretty good to me some people may choose the 5600 and that is fine aswell both options are valid. For the last build I would have picked the Silicon Power P34A80 ( dram + tlc ) instead of the p3 (Qlc and no dram) Those are my thoughts after watching the video calmly. These videos are pretty fun! Hope you keep making these!

I think in the $750 - 800 range a Ryzen 5600x has a bit better value since its overclockable and turbos a bit higher than the 12400f, and can generally be found for less.

@@thekickanoragm8559 I am waiting on my 5600g in the mail. @ $130, the money I saved will be used choosing a 6700xt, instead of a 6600xt. If I get buyers remorse, or think the APU is bottle necking me, I will simply keep the 5600g in my spare parts bin, and get an affordable Ryzen 7 CPU. PS I was on the fence between 12th gen Intel, and 5000 series Ryzen. The better Integrated graphics, and sentimentality won over. (My current PC is 1st gen Ryzen 1600)
This was a great reference. Given that i was able to put into account price fluctuation for my build. I was able to build a PC that has Ryzen 7 5700G as the CPU with a 3rd party aircooler from deepcool. Over all i was able to keep it under $700 and since my CPU is an APU, i can wait wait out for GPU prices to drop even more and possibly upgrade to a R7 5700x along with the 3070 i'm planning to put as the dedicated GPU

In total that would be right around $680, if i were to wait for the right GPU, preferably RTX 3070 it would be the best PC I could have built
Your parts are good, but there are certain things i would do differently 1. ASRock B660M Pro RS is a very low tier level of motherboard, and it's not recommended to pair it with anything higher than 12100, even 12400, let alone 12600k. I would jump up at least to Msi B660M-A Pro 2. 12600k is way overkill for 6700 XT. It's a 5800X(even better) level of CPU, and unless you're doing any productivity work, 12400 will be plenty, up to 3070 Ti or smth 3. By going with 5600, you could save money both on the platfrom cost and CPU pricing itself. 5600 is usually going between 120 and 140 dollars, and its motherboard selection is pretty wide, so it's very viable All these changes would allow us to go for a better graphics card, for example 6700 XT on 750 dollar build. It's not at all a disdain to your parts, though! Your video was very informative to newbies and all the people who are interested in building their own rig, so thanks for that.
Just ordered parts earlier for my first pc build, wish I would’ve saw the vid before hand.

12600 is too good. I'd nab even a 13600 and get a 6600 as my workload is more cpu dependent and games are secondary. I made a gaming build for my brother and it was literally 50% of the price for the GPU alone. So that logic works for gaming. Remember though some games really really like fast CPUs
r5 4500, cheap b550, rx 6600m great combo and cheap. if u want to upgrade later throw in the 5800x3d
so how does these specs sound for $530 ryzen 5 4600 g 16gb ddr4 ram and a gtx 1660ti do u think this could serve pretty well for streaming and gaming? for the along with 240gb ssd and 500 hdd?
For the 1000$ build I don’t see much point in getting a k cpu with a cheaper B motherboard, I feel like maybe getting a Ryzen 7 or sticking with the 12400 to get a better gpu would of been better for performance, but I understand aesthetics are also important

I also sacrifised performance when purchasing my 3080 12GB equiped PC by taking RGB RAM and additional RGB fans , thus being unable to get Ryzen 5 5600 and had to go with a placeholder CPU in form of Ryyen 5 5500 . Now,500$ build with Ryzen 5 4500 which is a placeholder for either 5500 or 5600 because I doubt board could handle 5700X or better . I would never ever sacrifice GPU power however , considering they are in most cases more expensive to upgrade than GPUs. I doubt CPU will be able to pull everything out of GPU , but you can add something better at a later date . Ryzen 5 5500 is a perfect match for this GPU and 5600 is highly unlikely to bring significant jump in performance over 5500 with this GPU someday. Oh and do not let numbers fool you . 5500 trades blows with 3600 and with proper GPU(like 6700XT or something)it is miles agead of 5500. 4500 is probably well below 3600. Yup just one of the complexities of the fact that sales tax goes local and state governments, so it different based on where you are located and what you are buying so for most business (esp. in the online age) that sell over local/state lines, it's easier to do at the end once you put in your address. This allows stores to publish prices but not have to do individual prices based on the store's location.
