Tips: I buy 'unsweetened' applesauce & add a teaspoon of cinnamon to it... this works for me & goes down well. I eat healthy salads with vinaigrette. Also, if you like garlic use lots of it in tasty recipes. Fermented foods sauerkraut & kimchi (probiotic powerhouse) is effective to lower blood glucose... but don't go overboard with any excessive salt intake.

I check 2 hrs after I eat - freestyle libre - and my endo in Canada says I make his job too easy. His support to build my confidence is awesome. Plus we have diabetes management centers here. Diabetic expert nurses and nutritionists that are awesome. Free here LOL even more awesome! Thanks for all you do!

Wow!!! My blood sugar was 138. I haven’t taken my metformin meds as yet, but since you mentioned about bringing sugar levels down quickly with exercise, I thought I would give it a try. I jumped on the elliptical machine for just over 4 minutes at a pace a little higher than I normally do. Anyway, 20 minutes later I checked my levels and it was 114. It never goes down that quick even with meds. I’ll have to keep this in mind in the future. I’m trying to get off these harsh meds, and perhaps doing exercise on a regular basis will help. Much mahalo.

I'm type 2 and not on insulin; walking for at least 30 minutes always lowers my sugar significantly. Also lifting stuff. I was on a Zoom meeting at work, and checked my sugars after I had a "cheat" breakfast an hour prior-my sugar was at 150, which is within acceptable range but too high for my liking. I then began lifting up my desk chair a few times, did a couple of squats, and did random exercises you can do at your desk. I did this for all of maybe 10 or 15 minutes; nothing too strenuous and stopped when my arms or legs started to feel sore or tired. I checked my sugar 30 minutes later, it had dropped down to 63.

My sister is a type 2 diabetic and takes no medication.. She has lost a lot of weight, kept the carbs low with a strict keto diet and Intermittent fasting. She feels good and has more energy but her fasting blood sugar is still 200. Losing weight, low carb doesn’t seem to helped. Why?

The Covid booster shot brought up my inflammation levels and my blood glucose to almost 10. Normally it stays between 6 and 7. What to do? I took an extra Metformin, but no matter what I did, drank or ate, things didn't improve for long. My head was ready to burst. When I felt a bit better, I went for a walk. Levels went down to 7.8, but the next day I felt crappy again. So what to do?

Fantastic video. I have put cinnamon in water and drink it. It really works. I'm only on metformin. It's weird. When my blood sugar is normal 100 or less, I don't feel well! It's crazy. When it's a little higher I don't have sweats or feeling ill. That's just me.

@@JackieOgle when my husband was first diagnosed he too had the same feelings when his glucose was within normal range. And when his glucose was high he felt normal but sleepier, lack of energy. We asked his Dr about it and he said because his body was used to having his glucose so high for so long, he felt weird and abnormal when it was normal. This went on for about 9 mths before his body started recognizing where it should be.

@@darrellcrawford1769 The term "taste" in this case is figurative, like "his taste in music," or "her taste in clothing colors." He means adjust the bath temperature to a level that you find comfortably warm, not uncomfortably hot.
