I love long grey hair like this. I am 70 and have been growing my hair since 2020. It is getting long and has grey (which I love) mixed with my brown hair, which looks purposely streaked. When younger I never would have thought I would go grey but I have embraced it and it has set me free! *The women in the video has stunning grey hair!

I recently had a crisis with my beautiful silver hair. Went to a salon and said "color it,im sick of it". The hair stylist said "no dont do it,its beautiful, i cant do what you're aking." I was revitalized but still i purchased Loreal toner in Silver. And it has definitely made me love my hair again.

I coloured Shayne's hair a couple of years ago using some silver hair colours and posted it on KZread. It was one of my first hair videos and a lot of people were unhappy That I had used colour (albeit semi permanent) So I wanted to show a way to enhance the natural beauty of silver hair. Thank you.

I loved the enhancing grey hair video the silver white and dove grey at the back ...noy long ago i have left mine it is really all one colour white i would have liked some dark natural low lights but no its about the same all over so after watching your video I was thinking of doing dove grey low lights and maybe the silver white round the front to make the grey more interesting. I feel i want to keep it natural but need a bit of dark, Plus i have very fine hair at the top and the dark makes it look a bit thicker. I am originally a hairdresser and colour has certainly come a long way since I started. Your opinion would be very welcome .Thankyou 🌈

I have gray hair, and since it's natural and a lot of people have chosen to stop coloring, it's not to end up with chemicals on their heads, there are natural shampoos that allow to have beautiful white or gray hair to be well groomed moreover we see the purple highlights on her hair drying it's not pretty sorry

Just found your site. I’m excited to get my naturally white/gray hair back to health! I do have hard, well-water which leaves a yellow tinge on my hair. I have a challenging time trying to maintain my white hair. Hi Austen, i live in Switzerland and my 1 year silver hair outgrow with home-made black lowlights was great, but after 2 Toner in 1 year my hair is quiet yellow... i would love such a treatment from you, but i guess youre too far away... what can i do, apart purple shampoo? What do you do for very very light blonde almost white hair? Everyone talks about varying shades of grey or silver, but there's VERY little about grown-out hair that's extremely light blonde or white hair and not ANY shade of grey.

I have long white/gray/silver hair for 5 years now. I'm extremely happy with the color and recently did a massive trim up. The only issue I have is I want to brighten & gloss my hair. EVERY product on the market was ts to deposit color onto my head. 😭😭😭😭😭

Loreal le color gloss in clear might get you what you're looking for because it won't add color to your hair. You might have to order it online from Amazon, but places like Walmart, ulta, Krogers, etc. may have it in stock?

I just used Loreal toner in Silver. Beautiful results. They have different shades so read which gray toner would be for you.

I would like to know your opinion on Olaplex, or what differences you find between Fibreclinix products and olaplex products. I've been trying to find advanced information (ingredients, how it works...) about Fibreclinix, to no avail. There´s lots of quite useless commercial information, though, which uses too much pseudo-scientific vocabulary (just like most expensive brands do when trying to "fool" customers into buying their, sometimes not so wonderful and amazing, cosmetics products...) That said, I don´t mean that it is easy to find indenpendent studies about olaplex, however, with olaplex, we know, at least, the name of the mollecule and how it works on the hair. Besides, it is not so hard to find a detailed list of olaplex ingredients...

So lovely to see a hairdresser working on real grey hair instead of dying it! I have long silver hair like Shayne but I recently had a 12 week blow dry treatment and as the hairdresser was going over my hair with the straighteners to seal in the treatment....we could see my hair turning yellow. I left with a head of yellow hair!!! After a couple of days, they put a "toner" on it. It looked much better but now a few weeks later, the toner has washed put to reveal yellow hair. I have tried several purple shampoos/conditioners and clarifying shampoo. There has been some improvement but the yellow is still noticeable....do you have any suggestions? Will anything lift the yellow? Or will I have to keep getting toner put on at the salon? Thanks.

Hi Maureen, I’m sure the keratin treatment deposits a stain on the hair however hopefully once the treatment is fully out so will the yellow but I’m not sure. Check out a product called Chroma ID by Scwarzkopf and get the 9.5/1 and this will treat your hair and deposit a cool tone direction leaves it feeling amazing and kills yellow. If it’s too strong a tone mix with conditioner or Chroma ID clear. 👍🏼

I watch this video often as I have gray hair. What is a good non purple shampoo for gray hair you'd recommend? Anytime I use a purple one, it always leaves a purple hue even I put it on for less than 15 seconds as my hair is very porous.

You could try a blondeMe rich shampoo as this helps to create reflection on blonde and would probably do the same on grey hair. Try leaving it in for a few minutes.

@@ktb3929 sure BlondMe have a rich conditioner and also the mask. They are both good and if your hair is porous then the mask will close down the cuticle and help with the finish.

Austen this might be a dumb question, but after the final step- do you rinse out fibre clinix treatment before blow drying?

I have the opposite opinions as there are loads of women with shorter grey hair and I believe you have to find your strong point with your hair and flex that. In this case it’s the ability to have it long and with such a beautiful colour which has seen her modelling it all over billboards and advertising campaigns published and digital. Which wasn’t happening when it was shorter. Find your USP and own it.

Really depends on when you feel it needs toning. Some people treat every time others once a week or once a month. Check out Chroma ID 9.5/1 for a treatment and a toner in one.

Like the ends of the top layer? Get that product I mentioned and apply it to that area while the hair is dry and leave it for 20 minutes.

I have curly hair. Any time I’ve tried that-and yes, even my black hairstylist recommended I do it-I’ve ended up with dreds.
