Yes!

I don’t do a flat or box break in, it’s somewhere in between. I close it naturally and bend the toe inwards. (It’s a Rawlings CM33) I break it in by using glove conditioner and mainly playing catch. I also do two in the ring.

Honestly that’s what I’ve found to work the best for me as a kid, I was thinking about trying the Japanese style since it’s like a more extreme version of what I already did

Will a mallet work for the catching balls process

I do a box break in. It just gives the ball more room so if you don't catch it in the pocket, it won't fall out. Its a Rawlings player perferred (because I have small hands. I do three in the pinky and one in the ring where i have my finger sticking out. The reason why is because im catching 65-70 mph and my finger and hand would get beat up if I did it the traditional way.

I have been catching for 3 years i need ides.

My daughter just got assigned catcher in 8U softball. I do have a machine but I would love some advice on how to help her get it broken in.

It took me a year and a half to break in my heart of the hide now it is my game glove
