Marta...I just found your videos while looking for some art journal tutorials here on KZread. I love watching you do your pages and you have given me so much inspiration! And as a beginner, you have given me exactly what I need to get started. I find myself getting easily discouraged when I am faced with blank pages and not knowing what to do with them. When I first found art journaling I went out and bought a bunch of supplies not really knowing how to use them, just seeing them being used by the artists that I watch on YT. So when I finally sat down to create, I was SO overwhelmed with everything and totally lost my confidence. So, I left everything in my little craft area for over a year and then after buying a house, I just packed it all up and stacked the boxes in a little corner in my new home. I have since unpacked everything and although we have been here just about a year, I am just now trying to start to create again. I feel like I just freeze up when I go down there. I am not someone who can pull creative ideas out of my head. I have to see an example of something I like and then go from there. The blank page paralyzes me. But, the good news is that since watching your videos ( I have been binge-watching your channel since late last nite!! lol) you have given me so many ideas on how to start and I want to thank you so much for that! Please continue to make instructional videos for beginners! You are so encouraging and your tutorials are very informative and helpful. I am looking forward to learning more. Just wanted you to know how appreciated you are and to thank you for sharing your talent with those of us who are struggling. You have definitely found a new follower in me! Take care!! Tina

Tina, you have totally described how I felt & still feel. I've come to the point where I don't even go try. I'm so glad I found Maremi, even though it is 7 years later.

I am a hoarder of art supplies, paper, embellishments, paints, stickers, everything and I never know what to do with them. you have shown me where to begin and that id valuable. your videos are never to long. Thank you so much for sharing.

I found you and your channel while researching Mixed Media Altered Objects and your have some fabulous tutorials for those projects. However, I enjoy your teaching style, your personality, your inspiration, your encouragement and so many other aspects of your style that I just binge watch your videos. I saw the video when you opened the box from KZread with your 100,00 viewer award and it brought tears to my eyes. when I listen to you and learn from you it feels so comfortable, like I'm creating with a dear friend. right now I'm going through your series of how to break a blank page. I just watched this series of videos "Fill a blank page" and I thank you very much because what I understood is that whatever the material used, that it is the paintings, pencils, stamps, inks ... ..etc. The only thing we have to do is let go and break everything that restricts us and prevents us from creating, no barrier, no restraint .... we have to try and dare and the result is inevitably there .... of course without your experience, but we must try everything. Thank you very much, I freed myself, thanks to you.

You definitely are an inspiration to me Marta. I just love watching your videos especially the ones when you use Lindy Sprays and textures. Part 1 and 2 have really helped me remove the blocks I have when starting a blank page and doing mixed media projects in general.

I wish I had seen this video when I first started journalling, as lot's of useful tips and techniques. And don't worry about it being too basic. When I first started, it wouldn't have occurred to me to use a bottle top to use as circle's or to outline any collage, which makes a huge difference. And I'm still learning. Love your work.

I like that you don't use a lot of glue and instead use the gesso. A very clever frugal tip! What type/weight of paper do you typically use?It sounds like there's a woodpecker in the background! :) I absolutely loved the textured squares where the black pen ran! You are brilliant! The examples are non-stop and super fantastic! Thank you so much. This video was not too long. I could watch you all day. You are an inspiration to a new art journaller.

I have just watched 2 of your videos today and you have taught me so much. I have always wanted to do watercolor paintings and mixed media, but don't know where to start with blank pages. Marta, Love all the ideas you have shown. You must know how great for all artists, especially those that are just starting out. As far as using Sharpies, they smear on everything they are used on. They must be sealed with something before going any further, if you do not want them to smear.

For those on a budget (like me) there are loads of recipes for HOMEMADE gesso and texture paste which works exactly the same as the artist gesso and texture pastes.

This is still an amazing video with awesome ideas from the heart of a true artist 🤩
